I have been thinking...as well as our Phins are playing(assuming we finish strong) there will be a bunch of FA's looking at Miami. That makes me wonder if moving up and grabbing Leinart would pay off. An already appealing team and location, adds the biggest prospect in years+Saban's promising future...we would be an irrestiable team for big names to sign cheap and jump on a program destine for championships. Doesn't this make sense...?

No, to moving up to draft Leinart.
We don't need Leinart to get to the superbowl.
Just need a smart QB that can read defenses, throw,
and also have a complete team on offense. That QB can be
Cutler, Whitehurst, and a few more names I am forgetting.
We need more draft picks not give any away. I understand
what you are saying. I still want to win more games this season!
finish strong!

I think with the improving play on our team and our cap status we will land a couple big name free agents. Maybe even get Drew Brees.

yeah i'd like that. it's getting more and more unrealistic, though, unless we package ricky williams with the first rounder and maybe a first day pick next year

your the 2nd poster boy kast Alex 22 is the poster boy but hey you never know you can beat him:lol:

Yeah, it would take alot, but i think it would be worth it. It would probably involve a guy like Thomas or Madison, unfortunatly. Although, both looked good yesterday.

First off

I have changed my view on leinart a little recently, I think he should be a fairly successful

What I havnt changed is that I think Vince Young is the future of this team

Trade ricky and a our first rounder to move inside the to 10 and snatch young

well you went from saying he'd be one of the biggest busts of all time to a successful QB in a matter of days. interesting

1) draft Jay Cutler if availible or CB or OT
* Make offer to Jacksonville for Garrard if we cant get cutler. Like
Williams for Garrard. Something in that regard as we still Have Morris.
Garard is young and u guys bash on him for not being perfect but he
proves he dosnt make mistakes, hes smart and acurate.

I don't think Leinart is going to be a hall of fame QB. I think he will be a good QB but I compare him to Chad Pennington.

i'll take that (although it's a bad comparison)

i want to pick the best QB we can get at our draft position. i dont want to trade up unless we get offered a steal. i dont want to trade Ricky. i want to see this team win and winning doesnt come with one person (example: Marino), one great player can only take you so far. fill the gaps that we have, dont start dumping picks (wanny anyone?), look at what we've been able to do with a rookie running back, a washed up backup QB, and an aging defense, lets get some quality young players and look toward a super bowl in the next few years.

say no to other teams hand me downs like garrard/schaub/rivers that will cost us a 1 anyways... lets find our own guy that we scout, like, and select ....

Hey at least Matt isnt injury prone.

I see your point but we might have get rid of a pick or a an important player to move up.
