Alright guys, what's with everyone changing their minds from time to time. A few weeks ago I started a thread with a lineup that included Steve McNair and T.O. and was wondering the odds of them coming and wondering if they'd be good acquisitions. I got bashed badly for it and people said McNair was too old and T.O. was horrible and that it would never happen blah blah blah. Now it seems like everyone is praising McNair and everyone thinks the lineup I'd set up is a possibility. What's up with that?

Also, from what we've seen, what separates Whitehurst, Cutler, Croyle, and Jacobs from our very own Cleo Lemon? Everyone holds these soon-to-be rookies in high light but for all we know they can be the next Ryan Leaf. Cleo at least already has a feel for the speed of the game right? I don't think any team would give away a 6th rounder just to get rid of Feeley, he honestly wasn't THAT bad. The move to get Lemon reminds me a lot of Bellichick wanting to start Brady a few years ago. Think back a little bit and consider this. You're the Houston Texans. You can grab David Carr number 1 in the draft or trade for a late-round QB named Brady? Logic would say grab Carr. Knowing what we know now would you still do it?

Just so we remain consistant......

1) I still think TO is a dumb idea.

2) I doubt McNair comes to Miami, any proof that talks have started is absent from this rumor. (He would have to learn a new system....Its not going to happen for a 1 year player)

3) The Cleo Lemon argument has merit, but you are incorrect to say he knows the speed of the game. I would love to know the last time he played.
The reason he was picked up was Randy Mueller had his eye on him for a while..he said he reminded him of Arron Brooks......that does not bode well for me. I wouldnt say Saban wouldnt give him a chance, but with Ferrotte and Sage having more experience, he would have to play spectacular in pre-season to get a shot. Remember, we sent Berlin to Europe for seasoning, not Lemon. That should give you an idea right there. A good question to ask is will Berlin be our 3rd QB next year and Lemon on the practice squad. That sounds about right to me. Berlin actually did O.K. in preseason last year.

4) I personally did not bash you, but anybody who does bash unnecessarily should respect your opinion, no matter how rediculous and idiotic it may be. Just kidding, you had some valid points.

In conclusion, McNair....No
T.O.......Hell No
Lemon compared to all the draft piicks......Spaeculation without information.

We have a lot to be exited about this season. Go Phins.:m83:
