2006 Saints vs. 2008 Fins

Both teams have 1st year head coaches who were groomed by Parcells. Both teams have running backs that were taken #2 in the draft. Both teams have veteran Qbs with "questionable" arm strength. Both teams have a young defense with solid contributors, but not many "superstars"

The Saints surprised the league, went 10-6, made the playoffs and Payton won coach of the year.

What happens with this year's Fins is TBD, but there are definite simmilarities.

I like the thought, but lets not get too ahead for ourselves. Two big players in our current success (Brown and Pennington) have injury histories. But, if those guys can stay healthy and we can keep putting together games like we have been, we can see some real success this year.

The challenge will be to stay healthy and not to overlook games. There are a lot of winable games on the schedule. Hopefully Sparano will have them prepared not to overlook the opponents.
