The announcers mentioned something during last nights telecast about our 2006 schedule, that I was completely oblivious to up until that point. I knew we didn't have any late, cold weather games, or west coast games. But I didn't know we play at least half of our games against teams with brand new head coaches. And half of those games are against teams with first time head coaches. That kind of gets me excited. I know that no game is a gimme. But typically teams with new head coaches don't do much better than middle of the pack. I think that only Minnesota and Kansas City have new coaches but still had winning records last year. And while I think Minn. improved(or at least didn't get worse) personel wise from the end of last season(not counting the loss of Culpepper), the Chiefs I think lost a lot on offense(mainly the o-line), while only partially improving thier D. And every single game against the NFC north has me excited, because I think the Bears and Vikes are the only real threat there. But if the team plays like it did last night(sans special teams miscues), and not every team has a run defense like Carolina, then I'm really starting to think 11-5 is strong possibility. I mean I was hoping for 10-6, but I never really stopped and looked at the schedule.

Looking at the schedule I see a solid 10-6. We COULD end up 11-5 but either way we should be in the playoffs. And by that time we should be on another hot streak, and go all the way to AFC championship, then: who knows?

we do have to go to Buffalo on Dec. 17th, I am willing to bet thats going to be a pretty cold game. As for the new head coaches, we play NYJ twice, Buff twice, Kc, Minny, Packers, and the Texans.

We also had a new coach last season and finished with a winning record.

This is true we did. And we drafted 16th of 32. Which is why I said teams with new head coaches typically don't finish better than middle of the pack. We're looking to finish at the top of the pack this year.

If this team stays relatively healthy, they will go 11-5 or better IMHO with this schedule. Culpepper is back in the state he wants to play in and he is on a mission to prove he is the QB of 2004 , not 2005. Book it

Our schedule is favorable but there is one problem, I think NE's is easier than ours.
