There's a lot of post on the Brady or Culpepper Thread. It seems that Culpepper has the numbers, and Brady has the rings. So let's shine a little more light on this. Who will have a better season this year. Who will have better numbers? Which team will have a better record?

I think the numbers will be close. It will depend on whether the two team's running games can perform as expected. And it will depend on whether Daunte is fully recovered. If Dillon and their rookie are hurt again, they will have to throw the ball a lot like they did last year. If Ronnie can't handle the load, Daunte might have to do the same thing.

plain and simple i think daunte will clearly have better numbers than brady this year, thats not trying to be homerish or bashing tom brady because the fact is hes still if not one of the best qbs in the game but just the fact that culpepper will have better wrs to work with than brady and a more explosive rushing game to go along will just have dauntes numbers top bradys

wow, how is it even possible to you miss the 113 page thread on this same subject?

I just don't like seeing Brady leading on the polls on the other thread. Culpepper's stats show that he's a better QB. So for the people that think Brady's so great, he didn't when the SB's by himself. Put Culpepper on those teams, and maybe they win those SB's by more then three points.

I dont understand why we need 1 Brady compared to Culpepper thread, let alone Three. Why is everyone comparing them so much ?:confused2

Of course Daunte will, he is just simply better than Brady. :cooldude:
Daunte has Chambers, Booker, McMichael, Brown, Hagen and Welker to throw to.
Brady has Branch....... oops sorry no he doesn't

It would make much more sense to compare him to a few guys, instead of Tom Brady. Maybe Peyton Manning, being that you are making your basis for him being better on statistics and statistics alone. Or for the 2006 season, maybe comparing him to Carson Palmer would make more sense, being they came off the same knee injury. Or another for the 2006 season, how about Drew Brees. The QB we chose not to go with, and the other big name QB that switched places this offseason. Any one of those 3 make a helluva lot more sense to compare Daunte with than Tom Brady.

My computer is slow, so I hate going back and trying to post the links for their career statistics. But Culpepper has started I think 81 games, has thrown for 135 TD's, 86 INT's. Brady has started 80 games, with 123 TD's and something like 88 INT's. Culpepper's completion percentage, as we all know is the highest in NFL history, is 64.4 with Brady's being I think 61.1. Culpepper's rating is like 3 points better. And obviously Brady probably isn't anywhere close to Culpepper in terms of rushing output. So statistically, yes Culpepper has the edge. But I haven't posted W-L record, which I can almost guarantee you Brady's win percentage is alot higher than Daunte's. Don't tell me the team crap, give Brady some credit where credit is due. So to me right there, you would be able to make a claim for both, and could decide to come to a draw. Oh yeah, one more thing, PLAYOFFS. Brady is 11-1. I don't know Culpepper's, but I would be shocked if Culpepper had 5 wins in the playoffs, because I cannot remember, but I know they lost to Atlanta 30-27 at home the year they went 15-1, I know they beat Green Bay and got slaughtered by the Rams, but I am not sure they did much else if anything in the postseason. So I want you to tell me given their playoff track record, and then comparing the stats, which are not that huge a disparity as many of you would think, and tell me how you could argue Culpepper over Brady. I LOVE HAVING DAUNTE CULPEPPER, and in no way am I knocking him. I just personally think the only reason you guys are making this argument based on the uniforms that these 2 guys wear, that if this was a thread last January, before Culpepper was here, you would never have made this kind of argument. Not with Culpepper's terrible season and the love boat, but now since he is a Dolphin, it is ok to make this statement. I know everyone is entitled to an opinion, I just think it is a tough comparison to make. And that is opinion, as an NFL fan, not just a Fins fan.

Well..

I think is because he is in OUR division(it will be our again this year) and that everybody said that brady is better because of the 3 rings. GO DOLPHINS!! :dolphins:
