yes, we'll have new CBs that can't cover, new WRs that can't catch, new QBs that suck, new defensive players that can't tackle...and the same coach that can't seem to fix any of these problems. And I bet we'll have some of the same defenders of Saban here defending him and finding new excuses as to why things are going so bad for the Fins.

This is the same thinking that leads to everyone thinking Saban is a failure....the fact is, if we could get 1 of the 5 things you mentioned in an offseason that offseason would be successful.

And how do you figure getting this accomplished?

Say we finish with the 10th pick...1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th round picks.

Booker gets cut, James gets cut, we re-sign Bell, Barnes, Vick, Welker, Jones, Lemon, and Bowens, and let MacIntosh, Holiday, Traylor, Tillman, and Spragan go unsigned...with the possibility of trading Thomas on the table and moving Crowder inside.

Booker is one of our Better recievers this year, I cant see him getting cut.

He's the only one that can get cut and we save $4mil off of. Everyone else would create cap hits or minimal relief. :confused:

If we obtain less than 2 decent offensive linemen, either through the draft or free agency, I will consider the offseason a dismal failure, regardless of how other areas of the team are addressed.

As far as receivers....what we need more than anything is a receiver's coach that can teach the receivers how to catch. Chambers, McMike, Hagan, Even Booker, they all need to learn the fundamentals of catching a football. The only receiver we have that gets it is Welker. If the receivers we now have would cut their dropped balls in half, we would have a very good receiving corps. The best thing is.... a good receiver coach (or "hands" specialist) doesnt cost a draft pick, a salary cap hit, or even a roster spot.

The secondary....geez...where does one start ? Hopefully Allen will develop and Bell will solidify his position. That just leaves the starting corners. Daniels is perpetually injured, and the rest of the corners are weak, so somehow we will need to find 2 starting corners plus a couple decent backups. That isnt going to happen in one offseason.

If we get a couple of upgrades on the O-Line and 1 starting corner, I think the offseason would be a success.

More than that might be a little too much to ask for.

FINZGONNAROCK06: thats what was supposed to happen THIS year.

saban was absolutely going to get those type of players and have
that kind of draft.

what did we find out? it was all hype. nick doesnt know talent, cant run
a draft, and cant coach.

now, if you meant we are getting another coach next year and wayne
is FINALLY hiring a GM with full controll then i say "could be".....

but i dont think waynes ego will let him chop nickstedt, so dont hold
your breath.
