LT - L.J. Shelton/Joe Toledo (One of these guys is given a shot depending on who impresses more in TC)

LG - Alan Faneca (An above-par band-aid really)

C - Samson Satele (The kid played well last year and was one of the bright points on the team)

RG - Rex Hadnot (Above Par and consistent)

RT - Vernon Carey (The only good player to come out of a Wanny draft)

TE - Jeremy Shockey (I know this guy is a reach, but seeing as how N.Y. has been playing better without him - his criticism of Eli Manning comes to mind - it wouldn't surprise me if he hit the market. After coaching in Dallas, Parcells knows the intensity this guy brings and a trade might happen. Speculation because Martin and Peele are awful)

RB - Ronnie Brown (Back from an injury but still the dominant RB he was before he got hurt)

FB - Ricky Williams/Julius Jones (I know it says FB but it might as well say RB2. I expect to see something similar to the Ricky/Ronnie combo we saw two years ago. If Ricky stays we don't pick up Jones, but if Ricky gets traded we pick up the free agent.)

WR - Chad Johnson (Rumors spread that he wouldn't mind playing for Parcells in Miami, and with the mess in Cincinatti they might not mind swapping 1st rounders with Miami and giving up ocho cinco)

WR - Marty Booker (Plain consistent. No different than Keyshawn was in Dallas when Parcells was there.)

WR - Ted Ginn Jr. (The deep threat this team needs. Not a #1 receiver, but more of a Stallworth type like New England has.)

QB - Trent Green (As long as he can stay healthy he can be good enough to make us competitive while a rookie learns on the bench.)

Other QB's - (Because we've been so unstable at QB the last few years I'll name the rest of our QB's. Odds are they'll play after all.)

Rex Grossman (Green's backup. He's been bad, but he's been good too, and his experience would make me feel more comfortable if Trent went down than if Cleo went in. Just someone to step in and take care of things if Trent is healing.)

John Beck/Colt Brennan (I'm not too sure how Parcells feels about Beck. If he's not what they feel they need then Brennan might be in. Say what you want but the Hawaii kids have heart and Brennan is no exception.)

So if this was the offensive line-up come kick-off how do you feel about our chances?

Signing Faneca and Johnson would be huge- but I think it's unrealistic..

but hey lets hope it happens.

I would love to have

LT- Jake Long
LG- Mormino
C- Satele
RG- Hadnot
RT- Carey
TE- We will probably stay with Martin and Peele
WR- Ginn
WR- Keyshawn
QB- Green (for now)
RB- ronnie
RB2- Ricky
FB- Mauia

Other QBs- Beck, Chad Henne in the 2nd round

To me this is unrealistic of happening. Satele is rumored to be moving to guard so that means we will have a new center and wont go for Faneca. Chad Johnson is the most realistic option you have on there since he wants out(supposibly) and he would want to come here since he was born in Miami. Shockey is a bit of a stretch but I can see what you are aiming for.

shelton at LT? seriously? no to pretty much all those FA pickups actually. not that good.

Parcells didnt like Julius Jones...That is why Barber started cutting into his playing time...He will never be a fin...Parcells was completely against getting TO in Dallas which caused a tiff between him and Jerry Jones and is the only reason he didnt coach the Cowboys this year (see the thread titled "Still Interest in CJ" for further thoughts on this matter)...I think Parcells veiws TO, and Chad as the Pre-Maddona type players. He wants guys that are more concerend about the team rather than themselves...Chad will not be a fin...Would rather see Roy Williams anyways...Marty Booker is way too inconsistant and has a high cap number he will be cut...Rex Grossman is terrible and doesnt belong in the NFL...I think you will see Trent, Beck, and a draft pick as the three QB's on our roster next season...Im excited to see what Joe Toledo can do this year...We were hearing good things about him but he cant stay healthy...

I dont know, it was hard for me to read after the first line..You want Shelton at LT? He doesnt even belong on this team let alone the most important position on the line. Ill try reading the rest again

Theres no way in hell Marty Booker is still gonna be here next year. As for us picking up Grossman or drafting Colt Brennan, personally I would be upset if we aquired either one of these guys.

I don't doubt the kid has heart, but he's gonna need alot more than heart to succeed in the NFL. I just cant erase that Georgia game from my mind. SEC defenses = bad games for run + shoot QB's.

Wow! a lot of faith and dreaming involved in that lineup. Be prepared to see a lot of draft picks and relative unknown guys. We won't be trading away picks to get other players, especially knowing he's going to have to rebuild using the draft in the next couple years. That also means it makes no sense paying big bucks to any free agents when you know you are in rebuild mode. It's going to take a couple of years of pain to develop our team into a decent team and it's going to mean losing a number of existing players and passing on some big names in the f/a market. I don't remember Tuna grabbing too many people from the f/a market while at Dallas. I only remember him getting some vets he trusted in there to teach the younger guys. Hence why I think they are interested in getting Green to stay on a year or two. They probably are telling him he'll be in a back-up/mentor role only in training the next QB. Question is, who that is? Beck or someone else?
While I don't think anyone is a sacred cow right now, the safest person I would say out there is R.Brown. He's shown enough skill and fits BP's RB mold (fairly well) and has youth on his side. J. Taylor would be another, but I could easily see him trading JT and/or ZT to another contender for a decent draft pick. ZT especially because he does not fit BP's typical LB style for his defense. Look for a much different roster in the next year/two.
