i believe if harvin fell to us, we were going to take him.. this guy is tearing the vikings defense up.. i even hear they are trying to teach him how to play quarterback! man.. only a few more picks!

I'm happy with our draft but, percy harvin? omg, we would be nasty...

Nobody ever doubted Percy Harvin could play football. Based on ability alone, he would have been long gone before the Vikings could get a crack at him.

The question is, over the long term with the drug question marks and his entourage, whether or not he's going to be reliable and eligible to play.

We didn't need Percy Harvin, because we already have that type of player in the receiving corps. His name is Ted Ginn. We didn't need another Ginn, we needed a big possession receiver and hopefully we drafted that player in Patrick Turner.

Harvin would have been a good fit for the wildcat, but we have Ronnie and Pat White to fill that role. Even if Harvin would have dropped to #25, Vontae Davis was still the better choice for this team.

I agree. I believe Harvin will do well, but him tearing up the vikings defense in practice doesn't mean jack squat. I remember a certain elusive, freakish running back who tore up his defense in practice and was viewed as unstoppable coming out of college. Meanwhile, everyone is still waiting for his break out season and for him to tear defenses apart. The only thing he has been tearing apart is an extremely obnoxious celebutard.

I agree, Vontae was our highest rated player, at our biggest position of need....If a receiver was to be taken, it would have probably been Nicks, since we were looking for a big, tall, red zone target....In the end, we might get the best of both worlds, since Turner is causing a great impresion, we have the speedster in Ginn, and our Wildcat player is onboard too.. (add a great looking pair of CBs to that list, and call it a hell of a draft)

draft forum...

i felt maualuga was going to be our pick at 25... :(

True I would have liked him as well but I think that we will be drafting a ton of Linebackers next year as I think there will be a lot more depth and quality for LB's in that draft.

yeah at that point we needed position, instead of bpa
