2009 7 round Mock Draft and FA (Leave Feedback)

FREE AGENTS:
Channing Crowder - resigned
Y. Bell - resigned
Goodman - Resigned
Hill and Carey will not be resigned, Hill may serve as backup..

New Guys:
Terrel Suggs, would be dynamic opposite of porter...
Chris Canty, He'll get a contract similar to Holliday's, but Holliday hasn't produced much and is pretty old. Canty is a 4 year vet, drafted by parcells. dude is a 6'7 beast at DE. Starks Merling Langford and Canty should give us pass rush from that position
Bobby Carpenter - People in Dallas consider him a bust on some accounts, but Parcells drafted this LB, and he has alot of potential. He'd be great in the middle.
Hopefully some upgrades in depth of OL and DB

Draft:
1 - Clint Sintim, 34-OLB Virginia... With BJ Raji, Vontae and Will Moore already gone, Sintim is the pick. Spikes may slide to us but not likely.
2a- Victor Harris CB, Virginia Tech.. We might draft him in the first round if his combine is impressive. But i think one of the 1st round caliber DBs will be around here with the 45th pick.. Alphonso Smith is another option, although he is small at 5'10, he'd be great value here and would bring many other skills to the secondary
2b - Jonathan Luigs C, Arkansas - I think everyone knows Satele doesn't work at Center in this Division. As much as we need tall DBs (see next pick) against Moss, We need Giant Centers to face beasts like Jenkins and Wilfork, Satele loses that matchup 80% of the time. Those 4 games is a quarter of the season, and 4 losses that would be HUGE.
3 - Sean Smith, DB, Utah.. His stock really rose in the Sugar Bowl, He is 6'3, and built thick. He'll also run a 4.4 40. He is a good tackler and an excellent athlete. We might have to trade up or something, i really want to come away with this kid.
4 - Sammie Lee Hill - NT, Stillman - Small school, but alot of production there. He's 6'4, 330 and a workout warrior. He's a project, but we couldn't land Ron Brace and we windup with a good value pick.
5 - Garrett Reynolds - RT, North Carolina. He's 6'7, 315, and made All ACC 2nd team, and has never missed a start. I know this is late to replace Carey, but Alleman, Satele, Donald Thomas, and some FA, could compete at the RT position..
7a- Nader Abdallah - DT, Ohio State. Productive in his 4 seasons with OSU, he's 6'5, 310, not ideal size for DT, but we add competition with Soliai and Lee-Hill.
7b- Greg Carr - WR, Florida State - 6'6, great hands. He needs to be coached up more. But he's had alot of different QB's and still been productive WR to get a first down. He's a huge body that can break tackles. He is a little slow and will have hard time gaining separation in NFL. But he'll be an upgrade over Wilford, IMO...
7c - Sean Sester - OT, Purdue - 6'7 325. Was great in protecting Curtis Painter in his good seasons. Sester never missed a game until this year, and was in and out with injuries, and Painters play drastically went downward when Sester was out. Maybe he can be our RT, when healthy this guy is pretty good.

I'll get some hate by not replacing Carey early enough, but i think the first 3 guys are better value at their draft slots.

big fan of bobby carpenters while watching him playing at ohio state, even though i despise ohio state...is he actually a free agent this year

i think he has one more year on his contract...not sure, but i know he is considered a disapointment, so maybe we could trade a 5th rounder or beck for him..
he's a backup over there, they would trade him for right offer

absolutely no to picking Greg Carr what good is the 6'6 frame gonna do if he can't get open long enough to catch a pass if possibly he's as slow as molasses???
