lot of surprises & potential in 2009 for the dolphins:

1) Brown is the definitive answer to the offensive line & the offensive line the defining factor in the run & passing game. the dolphins will free up the draft with the acquisition of Brown. keep your fingers crossed. Could even move up in the draft to get RJR @ NT.
2) with the re-signing of Crowder & acquisition of Wake, LB's are off the radar.
3) Cole, potentially a very nice fit & is available. could still pick up a WR in a very deep draft at that position this year. Also, the outside chance of picking up White for the WildCat, WR-project & backup QB.

4) Bell out Wilson in. another defensive upgrade. will probably use draft to to collect some CB's. Would like to re-sign one of the two CB's we have in FreeAgency but we have to get younger in the defensive backfield. I believe Gibril is 27 or 28.

We don't need White. That would be a huge waste of a pick. We have Pennington and 2 2nd round picks at QB and ifg we get a WR we can only hope we are smart enough to take a real one or sign one. Re-signing of Crowder makes our inside run stuffing ability and coverage from ILB as much of a liability as last year and the year before until proving otherwise. Love your spirit but nothing you posted makes sense on the Pat and Channing subjects to me.

It is good that we got crowder, FS (minus bell) and Carey outta the way, now we can pick up a decent WR freeagent and some DB's in the draft. We can def shape up to be more of a force this year the way things are going. Please let us grab a bad *** Center.

How are lb's out because we re-signed Crowder and brought in a CFL player?

Well wake is suppost to be a good OLB, and Crowder will play Inside again, i doubt we pursue a free agent LB. We will go after one in the draft for sure, which round is unclear.

Clint Sintim, round 1. Wake has a lot of potential but won't be an immediate impact. Sintim can be.

I would say LB is out for FA other than maybe a cheap depth guy...but the draft...I wouldnt be suprised if we took one early one mid and one late. Bill loves his LBers. I do think this thread is mistitled...last year was the biggest step in the rebuild, this year is more upgrading than building. If we can get some decent production from another pass rusher and another coverage corner we could have a **** of a defense next year. Another mauler on the o-line will also do wonders for our offense.

Ya i agree just unsure who they have on there radar for a priority over the other. We will just have to see if they go for best available in relation to top needs or just go after top need in first round.

I like Sintim but not in the 1st round. lawrence Sidbery could be the next deMarcus Ware IMO and depending on how people are looking at him we could get a steal maybe even Michael Johnson (GT).
