As most of you know, we have a bunch of free agents that need new contracts. I found this, it lists when every NFL player's contract expires:

Anyone else concerned with our LB situation?

Roth and Jason are both in contract years and Porter isnt getting any younger. Maybe this Cameron Wake guy can be good but I just dont know.

Putting pressure on QBs is really important, and how we're gonna do that after this season is unclear

The way we drafted 3 o linemen and 3 d linemen in '08 and then drafted 3 db's in '09, I think we will draft 3 linebackers in 2010.

In next year's draft, we will need to hit on an OLB, an ILB and a NT.

It's amazing to see how young our entire team is.

We're actually in much better shape than I thought.

With each season, our position needs become more specific and as a result easier to address.

I actually think it makes it harder. When you have a bunch of positions with need, you can drafter and get free agents which are the best out there that fill any of the positions. As those positions become fewer, there may not be anyon in the draft or FA which is a good fit...that is when you have to move up in the draft or overpay an FA...that is when you can make the big mistakes when your team is on the verge of becoming a power...

That may be our problem next year....

we'll have enough cap space to sign lebron james, dwyane wade or chris bosh

......wait

There is a bit of confusion on the FA status next year. If there is a new CBA, Ronnie would be an UFA. If not he would be restricted, meaning we could math any offer.

I agree on the LB concern, and expect two LB's picked with our top choices next season. I picked our two CB's in this years draft, and am on a roll. :D

I am not one to sign overpriced FA's, but Wilfork is my exception. He needs to come back to Miami.

I'm not worried, I see us taking OLBer in the draft next yr mayabe two and I expect JT to be back after the moster yr he will put up and we will pay JT big bucks again. JT should have made 8mil this yr instead he will make 1.6mil, my guess is they will make it up too him if he still is the player they think he can be.The only way I could see JT not coming back is if we won the SB this yr.and even then he may come back just to get his money. Roth is replaceable but I could see us signing him to club friendly contract, I don't see him being a player teams will target to sign unless Wake blows it up and we have no room for him then he goes to a young team like KC or Denver who are in the building stages.

What I do enjoy is not hearing any noise coming from our FA to be, about holding out until they get another contract. Our guys are all business..........I'm sure those who perform will be well rewarded by the FO.

Roth had 5 sacks while not playing on passing downs, and adapting to a new position. I like Mad Matt and hope we keep him.

We aint gonna be able to sign all those guys next year, but i do hope we get a few back, i believe in the tuna to make the best choice possible.
