2010 Dolphins Mock Draft Round 1-4

2010 Dolphins Mock Rounds 1-4​

Round 1: ILB Rolando McClain 6’4 258 Alabama pounds/ or Brandon Spikes 6’3 258 pounds Florida: ILB is a big need and either one of these guys would help out our defense a lot I would prefer to get McClain over spike but I think either of them would help us out a lot we need a true leader on the defense and Crowder isn’t that leader and neither is Akin.

Round 2: WR Demaryius Thomas 6’3 229 pounds Georgia Tech: He is a big all Physical that the dolphins could really use he could turn in to the #1 WR the Dolphins have been looking for also get a another good WR to go along with him I wouldn’t mind us signing WR Antonio Bryant until Thomas became the main guy.

#2: Demaryius Thomas
#3: Devone Bess
#4: Brian Hartline
#5: Ted Ginn JR

Round 3: DE/OLB George Selvie 6’4 245 Pounds South Florida: he could be the guy to replace Jason Taylor or Joey Porter OLB is a big need for us and I think he would be a nice player to fill that spot for us and have us keep Wake as a pass rusher until he can learn how to stop the run and cover better. I don’t know if he will be there in the 3rd round but that is where he is projected to go by scout.com so that is what I went with

Round 4: FS Robert Johnson 6’2 200 pounds: Gibril Wilson just isn’t getting the job done at FS he isn’t even a FS to begin with he built like a SS and that is what he should be playing so I think he will either get cut or trade this off-season if it is a uncapped year if it isn’t a uncapped it would cost us to get rid of him so he would just be a back up for Bell but I think that Robert Johnson would be a good pick up for us and play him at FS he can’t do any worse then what Wilson has done this season.

I will Finish the rest of the draft Later when i have more time.

and Trade Greg Camrillo for a fifth round draft pick

Thoughts?
 
not a fan of selvie personally...and i have to admit i haven't looked at robert johnson much yet so not sure there

i'm really starting to like chad jones at safety but he won't be around in the 4th round

Selvie isn't an OLB IMO....at least not n a 3-4....doesnt play the run well,and hes already having enough trouble shedding blocks from the DE position....whats he gonna do from the OLB position....dont like him at all....I would rather have Micah Johnson,on Von Miller,etc.
 
I really am timid about Florida players....They have a trend of ****ing in the NFL.
 
I would echo the sentiments on Selvie regarding his ability to convert to a 3-4 linebacker. I don't think he's really displayed the type of lateral agility or foot speed to play in space. He is also rather limited as a pass rusher in terms of a myriad of pass rush moves IMO.
 
I've gone off Micah Johnson a little bit after KU's bowl game against Clemson.

I like his size alot, but he seems to take weird angles or get caught up with blockers and when he does get close to the ball carrier either misses the tackle or falls over.

Maybe he was having a rough day, but he's gone from perhaps a 2nd rounder to a 3rd or 4th until I see something more.
 
micah johnson has been playing dinged up with a leg injury pretty much all season...

Love Demaryious but Gresham would be great value in the Second round. I just don't think it will happen because we paid Fumbleano this offseason.
I like Benn in the 2nd round if hes still there too.
