you know I don't like looking at free agents so early
mostly because they can easily be signed (or later franchised) before we have a chance to get at any of them
but when you look at at these guys
DeMarcus Ware consider this guy signed
Shawne Merriman we actuality have a chance of this guy hit the market his team drafted a OLB in the first round and Shaun Phillips is only 28
Karlos Dansby played amazing during the Playoff run but a deal will get done as soon a possible
Kirk Morrison & Thomas Howard put each other in a good position to get out of Oakland and you know how we love to take the the Raiders players away from them
DeMeco Ryans I actually love this guy they wont let him get away
Derrick Johnson Loved watching him at Texas expected better out of him but would be a big upgrade over either ILB on this team

D'Qwell Jackson is a beast for the Cleveland and I would like us to see him come here. He would come cheaper Kirk Morrison, DeMeco Ryans, Karlos Dansby, and Derrick Johnson. There is no way Demarcus Ware gets away from Dallas Cowboys. Shawn Merriman is a possibility as Bill Parcells was high on him enetering the 2005 Draft. Merriman is only 25 years old but has a history of injury and off-field issues. The free agents I want us to chase include Vince Wilfork, Vincent Jackson, and D'Qwell Jackson.
It's important to think of cap room; We could be uncapped which even though it looks like it will happen I still think something will get done b/c the salary cap is what makes football great. We have Ronnie Brown, Chad Pennington, Matt Roth, Anthony Fasano, Jason Taylor, and Jason Ferguson's contracts coming off the books> I think they should consider signing Brown to a long term deal which should be cheaper than his rookie deal as well as offer favorable contracts to Fasano, JT, and Ferg. Matt Roth is gone IMO and I could see Reggie Torbor become a cap casualty as well. If they like what they see out of Henne than Pennington is gone but if not we could look to vring him back. In terms of the cap we are in pretty solid condition.

Some good talent there for LB's in contract year.
Raiders will probably give up both of their LB's or Asomugha if they cant get them signed, as he cant franchise them all.

Rather draft than sign free agents (something we've had no luck with in the past).
