2012 NFL Draft Prospects

Orange DE to enter draft … Syracuse junior DE Chandler Jones has announced that he will be foregoing his final year of eligibility and entering the 2012 draft. The 6-4, 265 pound Jones missed the first 5 games of the season with a leg injury, but then had 38 tackles including 4.5 sacks and two forced fumbles over the final half of the campaign. Jones is considered to be a 3rd or 4th round prospect.

Wake receiver heads to draft ... Wake Forest junior WR Chris Givens has reportedly announced that he will be entering the 2012 draft. The 6-0, 195-pound Givens, with a reported 40 time in the low 4.5 range, had a break-out year this season in which he caught 83 passes for over 1,300 yards and 9 scores. Givens is considered to be a mid-round prospect, although he could move up if he runs better at pre-draft testing.

chapel hill, nc — north carolina defensive end donte paige- moss will forgo his senior season and enter to 2012 nfl draft despite tearing the acl in his right knee during the independence bowl.

Paige-moss posted 29 tackles and two sacks in 13 games this past season, numbers significantly lower than the 49 tackles and seven sacks he had as a sophomore.

The jacksonville, north carolina native is listed at 6-foot-4, 260 pounds.
 
[h=1]Miami OL Washington, DE Vernon declare for draft[/h] University of Miami (Fla.) OL Brandon Washington and DE Oliver Vernon will skip their senior season and enter the NFL draft, the school announced Friday.
Washington started all 12 games for the Hurricanes in 2011. Vernon, who was suspended for the first six game because of an investigation into extra benefits, recorded 18 tackles in six games.
Vernon and Washington join teammates RB Lamar Miller, WR Tommy Streeter and DL Marcus Forston as Hurricanes underclassmen declaring for the draft.

Meanwhile, Virginia Tech junior CB Jayron Hosley told reporters after the Hokies OT loss to Michigan in last night's Sugar Bowl that he will entering the draft. Same for San Diego State sophomore RB Ronnie Hillman who has also said he will be declaring for the draft. South Florida junior RB Darell Scott has announced he is leaving school and entering the 2012 draft.

Nevada running back Mike Ball, who was dismissed from Nevada’s football team late in the 2011 season, a junior with another year of eligibility is entering the draft.

The 6-4, 230-pound Jeffrey is considered to be a mid-first round prospect for the upcoming draft, while Gilmore is a likely second-round candidate. Meanwhile, there are reports out of Wisconsin that star junior RB Montee Ball is expected to announce at later this afternoon that he will be returning to school next fall.
