Lets say for example, a quarterback is available in the third round. Lets say any round and Connor Shaw is available? Would we pull the trigger on a guy like this?
Should we consider drafting a QB at all?

I think we should. Give Tannehill a push and who knows what might happen with the pick?

I would have never asked this question had we won at least one of our last two games. But I think we should grab a guy like Shaw. If anything, it would make camp and the pre-season quite interesting.

BTW......Connor Shaw is a beast and a QB all packed into one player.

I like Shaw as a college player, but he has a lot of development to do if he hopes to be a QB in the NFL. I would take him as a FA pickup.

Shaw is nice but not a 3rd. His arm strength is suspect but he has great footwork and good accuracy. You could probably get him in the 6th without sweating.

We probably will only have 6 picks due to the Mckinnie trade. I'd go 2 OT, 1 G, 1 DT and 1 RB. There are quite a few options in free agency for the other positions.

We dont need to give Tannehill a push,we need to always keep an eye for a QB as we always have in the past other than last year.Injuries can happen in a blink of an eye.

Terrance West would be a steal in the 4th round. 2,500 yards and 41 Touchdowns is outstanding, no matter the Division.

First of all I'm a huge SC fan (like you i'm sure) and I think Connor Shaw is one of the best college qb's to play the game. However, IMHO he is not a pro QB and he will probably be a late round/free agent type player.

I would not even draft a qb.

Would be better to see who's available at those picks. Pretty sure we could get better quality players. Not sure if we should/would spend our 7 picks on 4 OL even if the O-Line is depleted.

I can understand going after at least 1 OT in the draft, but spending that ,many picks on the OL in one draft is suicide unless we can shore things up at other positions via FA. I'd like to see Alex Mack signed to play Center and have Pouncey move over to guard thus solidifying 2 internal spots longterm. OT in rd1 seems almost anticlimactic right now as it is simply a must for us. as for the other rds it should be BPA. don't reach for guys just because they fit a hole. get the best talent on the team and then adjust game-plans making use of those talents. don;t try to force a guy into a role, fit the role to the guy. we never seem to do that.

Why do people all of a sudden think that Lewan is going to drop past top ten?
