What the hell lol

I mean, I get the point but is this really a fair way to judge these guys? I didn't click the article but just the list you provided, I assume was from it and it just leaves me like.... :tubes:

"OL James …………………... Peat"

Don't equate our stud young OT to any soft Stanford OT, please!

I think the OP is just taking the top players at a position from last year and comparing him to the top players this year. Number 1 running back vs Number 1 running back, number three tackle vs number three tackle and so forth. People do that every year, I'm not sure why the OP should be bashed for doing it this year?

Actually I think the two drafts are similar. I think there just a few elite type talents (doesn't mean players wont become elite but based on right now). The teeth of this draft like last year is in rounds 2-4. I don't think there is a huge difference between players in the second half of round one and players that will be drafted in round 4. Now I do think last year was deeper in round 5 and later so maybe that's the point in the link.

There is just no other way to say it. Last year's draft had a lot more good prospects. This year the first round quality is about 10 to 12 players and will run out around pick 15.

The article seems to point to this year being a better draft in most areas and doesn't do these strange comparisons made in the original post.

Stanford football is soft. Now I've heard everything.

I keep forgetting that one is the required sample size. Offer any statement and all it takes is one exception to consider the rule nullified. That's how you get the current All State commercial, with the lady showing off her safe driver refund as somehow obliterating the guy's claim that men are better drivers.

Let me emphasize I have no idea if men are superior drivers. Completely irrelevant. I'm simply astonished that a commercial like that can get beyond the production meetings and actually make it on the air. I don't need any further evidence that Bar Stoolers are taking over the planet. Nothing needs to make sense as long as it's accepted that way.

It's now a sample size of "2".

Among a collection of comments from NFL scouts gathered about Peat by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, one was anything but flattering.

"I saw him get thrown around like a rag doll," the scout said. "I respect what people think about the guy, but every defensive player I saw against Stanford kicked the (expletive) out of the guy. If you're asking me who was the most overrated guy I saw, it was that guy."

Another scout acknowledged Peat as the No. 1 player at his position, but still offered a strong a critique of him.

"He's got damn good feet but ... the last bowl game against Maryland he looked like (expletive)," he said. "He's the No. 1 guy but he's never been pushed. He doesn't have any core strength. He doesn't take hard coaching."

While I agree that not all Sanford player are Soft...Peat looks like Martin 2.0...even this scouts description fits him....
