Now that we know who our head Coach is going to be for next year, I think its pretty self –evident what he has to do to make the team better. You have a quarterback, it is time Miami build around him- A big physical WRs, a big physical RB and big TE to compliment Clay and Simms. I pretty much want the team to be more physical no more finesse.

I wasn’t really enamored with the Juwan James pick simply because I felt Miami needed more guards more than tackles. I believe your running game is as good as your guards, see Dallas. I guess I am half wrong.

Now for the 2015 NFL FA, I do not want any more high priced free agents. It has hardly worked for the team. I want a bunch of the second to mid tier guys ala Colledge who was pretty good until his back injury. Another option is the salary cap casualty guys. I expect the team to find upgrades at multiple positions from playoff teams that can’t afford to pay all of their starting-level talent, I mean just gut Denver and the Seahawks already.

Well here are my FA targets:
TE
Rob Housler
ARI
27
G
James Carpenter
SEA
26
G
Orlando Franklin
DEN
28
DT
Terrance Knighton
DEN
29
G
James Carpenter
SEA

I... actually like that list a lot. Franklin makes way too much sense, we have to take a run at him.

I really am intrigued by Housler, as well. Did not realize he is a free agent. Interesting.

I love the Orlando Franklin pick up if it can happen. Dan Williams also comes to mind if Knighton is too pricey.

Houslers too soft too finesse I'd pass do like the james carpenter if I can't get franklin option and I think carp would be rather cheap although he stays dinged up it seems but we'd still have to decide on or add a swing tackle if you added carp...knighton for sure I'd target if he hits free agency

One of these days I will get around to reviewing a list of all the potential free agents and I should be able to pick some targets at different market levels that can help us and fill needs

Rob Housler is a pass catching TE, Housler is a dynamic tight end that has the speed needed to stretch the field and the explosiveness to be very dangerous after the catch. He has reliable hands but doesn't block well or at all. But we already Simms and Lynch doing the blockings.

You are keeping clay..,I don't think you can have another pillow soft tight end...houslers pretty much a rocked up wr playing tight end that gives away intentions cause he can't block to save his life

I'm looking for a very specific piece at tight end and that's just not it...I need a little bit more of a not dead give away option

And by the way if lynch is gonna make this roster along with clay and sims housler cause he's so one dimensional wouldn't even be active on game day barring injury...they don't activate 4 tight ends and 5 wrs and 3 rbs that's too much...you at most get 3 tight ends active...lynch is a more all around tight end than housler even if he's not dynamic or shows burst in the pass game

Will be interesting to see if lynch makes it...cause he's well rounded he's got a good shot barring a stud addition...

Some likeIupati who has been really good on the run but, really bad in pass protect. He's given up 6 sacks, 2 hits, and 22 hurries. The sacks are the worst of any NFL OG. Former Cane Orlando Franklin is my target, good on the run and pass, giving up 1 sack, 2 hits, and 6 hurries. I believe that we only sign one OG and let Turner, Shelly, and Thomas battle for the other OG.

However, I have some concern on Pouncey's injury recovery, and a major concern in Albert who had a serious injury. Don't have any info on when he will be back but. he is going to lose something to some degree. IF it's a lot, he may not be able to be our LT, and do not know if he could move inside. Hoping for the best, although this is in the back of my mind until we know more, and could change our plans.

if alberts not ready from the get they will just roll with james at left tackle til he is...i'm not worried james has shown he can be serviceable...we don't need all pro tackle play we just can't have hot garbage play

What about David Harris from the Jets, Misi was ok but not durable enough. assuming we stay in a 4-3 Misi - Harris - Jenkins trio would be really solid. Harris doesn't miss tackles and plays with the mean streak we lack, what value does Ellerbe have when healthy, we make a significant cap saving if we cut him but he's still young and only a year off being a solid player.

I think you are on target. I agree this team needs to become more physical to match-up better in the division and to be able to put games away. With your plan, Miami could go into the draft and go best player available -- something the Dolphins rarely do. I'd love to see one of the four in the first round: Todd Gurley, Melvin Gordon, DaVante Parker, Devin Funchess. Build some talent around Ryan Tannehill.

sure harris would be an upgrade...but i doubt the jets let him get away...he'd be a solid stop gap solution...harris is a good player

My concern is that when he is "ready" he may not be the same high quality LT he was before the injury. I defer to Scherith who said that anyone who thinks a player is going to come back as good as ever from injury is foolish. All injuries take their toll, especially as you get older. You adjust and adapt your game but, are never as good as ever.
