2015 NFL Draft: Compensatory picks announced

did you expect anything different? If the NFL could, they'd give the Pats another first rounder

They lose talib and sign a better player in revis and get a 3rd round pick. Makes you wonder, it really does. Goodell is krafts little beeatch

Its going to suck even more when the NFL only takes the comp pick for them knowingly cheating. Smh..

i truly don't get this system, how did we not get anything for losing Soliai? he was a 16 game starter in Atlanta

I'm curious as to how they justify this? Players come and go. Does the league offer an explanation?

Denver gets 4 picks after signing: Talib, Sanders, Ward, Ware.

Goodell is a f***ing clown

90% of those teams were in the playoffs the last two years.....I don't understand how this work

since Denver lost Knighton, Thomas, Franklin and others will they get 8 picks next year?

Since the Pats lost Revis, how about Roger gives them three 3rds? ( i mean they got a third for signing him)

The formula includes players you lost in the free agent market and those you signed. Players like Demarcus Ware, who was released by his team don't factor.
Miami lost Soliai but signed Albert.

This is such a stupid practice. It basically awards the strong teams. If you lose a strong player you get compensated. If you dont have anyone worth a poop you get nothing. Partially the team with no talents fault but still. Its called compensation so you think it would be helping the bottome dwellers more than the top teams. IMO they should scrap it unless they can justify it. Everyone has the right to resign their players and if you dont want to keep them or dont have the cap space that should not justify a reward.

It only favors teams that lose better players than they sign. When looking ahead to 2016 Miami will get nothing again. Dolphins signed Suh and lost Odrick. Losing players like Wallace and Hartline won't factor because they go cut. Detroit should get more compensation for losing Suh than Miami gets for losing Odrick.

Meant to help teams like the Lions when they lose PREMIER free agents like Suh

Not meant to help teams like the Broncos who go on spending binges and still get 4 picks.

Not meant to help the defending champs who got the best CB in the game on a massive deal the year before.
