After watching highlights of every game this season i have a few things that stood out to me.
#1- Coaching
This team got worse as the year went on. Very basic high school type Defense and Offensive couldnt counter what we'll coached Defenses were doing to us. Really obvious game management problems as well.
#2- Walt Aikens/Jamar Taylor
These two players are atrcious. Absolutely dreadful. Taylor is really bad guys. He at times seemed to quit on plays just so he wouldn't have to make contact. Actually looks to be afraid honestly. What's really bad is he plays a lot for us. Walt Aikens just doesn't have it. The effort is there but he is always out of position or simply lost out there. The loss of Louis Delmas was more crucial than we all thought.
#3- Brent Grimes
The guy just had a bad year. Really bad in my opinion. Got torched by great receivers every game. Played good against the lower level WR but isn't near an elite Corner anymore. Maybe could be a #2 CB in Miami but his days of playing against #1 WR are over.
#4 Juwan James
The loss of Juwan James killed our season. The dude is pretty solid at RT. We were instantly changed when he was lost for basically the rest of the season. Jason Fox should never play another NFL game. Our whole OL changed without James.
#5 Guards
Our Guards are awful. Awful in nearly every game. No other words are needed.
#6 Tannehill
Its so confusing. He can be awesome at times and can be one of those guys that just doesn't have the vision to be a NFL QB. I like Ryan and I think he could be our guy but I don't have 100% faith in him. I wouldn't give up on him just yet. I would love to see him with a real coaching staff. I think that's what he is missing. He needs some coaching to put him in situations to succeed.
#7 Jones/Landry
These two are great. Played hard every play. Landry lets his temper get in the way at times but he is a fearless intense player that this team needs. Jones was an animal in the secondary. I actually felt sorry for these guys for playing on such a bad team at times.
This team has potential to be good but it's close to being a laughing stock if not already. This offseason could determine to be most crucial ever. Another bad season and we will be the new Browns of the NFL. It's now or never to get this thing right or it may never happen.
