Miami Dolphins 7.0 Over (-125) / Under (-105) — Kind of a sucker for Adam Gase here, so forgive me for buying into the Dolphins a bit. They did add more protection in Laremy Tunsil (smokescreen!) and the defense has a lot of “win-now” potential if everything breaks right. Ryan Tannehill is going to get better under Gase, the way people thought he would last year. His weapons — DeVante Parker, Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills, Jordan Cameron — are sneaky. Jay Ajayi has to carry a load, but he can do that for a year. If they can go 2-2 out of the gate, they'll crush this over.
VERDICT: OVER

I agree if we can come out with a few wins we aren't or weren't supposed to I think we can go over 7 wins.

I'm optimistic as well. Every team that ends up in the playoff race has things that go their way, whether it's staying relatively injury free, players emerging that you might expect and might not expect etc. A lot of things have to line up for Miami, but you never know how it could unfold.

I feel like the key to the defense is Kiko Alonso and whether he can stay healthy. If he can, that is a huge upgrade for Miami. I like the philosophy of press coverage and being more physical in the secondary. The Dolphins gave away too many easy gains last year. We'll see growing pains there I'm sure.

I'm more optimistic on offense with a line that, on paper, suddenly looks much more than serviceable with the addition of Laremy Tunsil. I'm a fan of Ryan Tannehill. I don't expect him to be elite, but I do think he hasn't reached his best yet. The running game is the biggest question mark.

As long as our OL is really fixed, again, the sky is the limit for this offense and the team.

I think the biggest change may be coaching. If Philbin was really that bad behind the scenes, he certainly was bad during the game, we should see a couple of games won by the coaches putting players in the best chance to win.

Second most important is staying healthy.

Third, have some of our players coming back from injury or "off years" regain form. Alsonso, Wake, Stills, Maxwell,

I got the Dolphins going 8-8.

I don't get the Raider hype.

They added a bunch of FA. That rarely works out. They're the same old bad raider teams.

They had an off-season eerily similar to some of the Dolphins off-season over the last few years...

They're paying less for the over 7. $100 wins $80 at -125. So this site pegs us around 7.7 wins. That seems about right.
