2017 Miami Dolphins schedule: They want to open at home, other requests

Miami’s only finalized game is its Oct. 1 matchup with the Saints in London. The league typically takes into account whether the participating teams would prefer to have their bye week following the overseas trip, but the Dolphins do not want that. They would rather play a home game after going to London in Week 4 and have their bye week close to the middle of the season.

I think London could get another good game with us vs saints, but with more interesting teams than the bills/jax stunner awhile back.
 
major disruption to me being such short weak, prep and recovery

It waters down the competition. Players have a hard time recovering from a game in 7 days let alone 3 days. Road teams are especially not ready for that game and almost always get blown out. Thursday night games are tough to watch.
 
Agree with getting rid of overseas games. Not TNF though. Even though a lot of those matchups are underwhelming, I'd rather have that than nothing.
 
Thursday night teams should have a bye before. No one plays more than one per season. International games have a bye the week after
 
TNF games, on top of all that, are usually crap match ups. I would not be sad to see them go away.
 
Can't think of a much worse start than this year at Seattle and then at New England

Can only get better
 
I agree with TNF needing some changes. Maybe let hgh be legal that week only. :)

Thats not going to happen. The NFL will only look to expand its market. Offer the NFL to more fans, in more locations, at different times.

And why shouldn't they? Especially from a business perspective.
 
Last year our TNG was very unfair to us. Not only did we have to travel on such a short week but the bengals played at home the sunday before so they were way more rested than us. I expect we'll get screw again this year again somehow
