It's what I've heard as well, but no way to actually confirm it.

I think many thought they had their eye on Cesar Ruiz who went 24 to the Saints.
I know most thought they would have taken Dobbins in R 2 had Baltimore not grabbed him.
I really liked Aiyuk because I thought Miami needed a run after the catch WR and he sure has shown his ability to do that so far.
I must say i was very skeptical of the Lynch hiring at the time but they have been one of the smartest FO's in the NFL since he has been there.
