New England is getting hammered in free Agency this year... next year, they will get the maximum in compensation picks...

Knowing these picks are coming, look for them to trade up in this year's draft.

They always get comp picks - that's how they stack depth. They have two 3rd round comps this year.

They don't have much ammo though without giving up a 2021 #1. They don't have a 2nd rounder this year and then 3 late 3rds.

If the QB that they want is there... especially if he has slid a bit, they'll pounce.

BB does not have much history moving up in Round 1.

I think he likes Stidham.

He had Brady forever... he never had the NEED to move up. Plus... he's older now and has less time to work with.

Unless he is high on Eason or Fromm... I expect him to make a move. He has the ammo.

You are failing to consider the possibility that he thinks he has his guy in Stidham.

No need to move up for a QB if you don't think you need one.

I think NE finds a solid vert QB to come in and play if Stidham is not quite ready, or to at least compete with him.

NE knew Brady was gone based on the way they did not really try to keep him. They have been thinking about who was going to play QB next year a lot loner than the last few days.

Not to mention BB's love of having extra picks. Moving up is antithetical to him.

And yeah, I just dropped "antithetical" on all of you. :eyepop:

If Love drops, which he should, you best believe BB takes him. Raw, but BB could easily develop him
