Size, talent, resume, consistency……win.

Long story short, you have to check most of those boxes in order for me to bless you with a 1st round grade as a quarterback. The quarterbacks in this class are missing 2 or more of these criteria.

Whether it’s being alarmingly short, alarmingly immobile, alarmingly tiny hands, alarmingly inconsistent, or alarming holes in the resume - this class of quarterbacks as a group allow me to punch too many holes when it got right down to it.

Somebody may end up a quality starter, but they all have work to do.

Your rankings highlight Miami's situation at 29. Defense, Hall/Walker, hope a WR falls. I guess they could also look at Johnson or Linderbaum, but imo Eichenberg should be at least serviceable at LG, and they should look to a veteran C like Ben Jones.

I would quibble with Garrett Wilson not getting a 1st Round grade but that is about it.

Hall probably won't go R1 due to his position but he is a terrific prospect.

I like seeing Tyler Smith up there, not many have him in R1, I could see his name called by Miami easily.

I have always though that the play for Miami at #29 was going to be BPA or moving up or down.

WR and OL are the biggest needs(it is assumed that some work will be done on the OL in FA)but I have always though that defense might be the value at the end of R1.

They could move up a few spots for a guy they really like, or move back, maybe with a team coming up for one of the QB's.

But sitting there at #29 and grabbing a quality WR or OL is a bit of a long shot.

Maybe a Dotson is there or an OL like Green/Z Johnson or Raimann/Penning, and we can dream of Linderbaum.
