Would have preffered Rice. Washington is 5'8.
Pro Comparison: Rondale Moore
Summary
Malik Washington is a short but not small WR prospect. Chiseled, compact shorter frame that lends itself to immense contact balance. Will surprise defenders by how he lowers the boom and how he's barely impacted by diving tackle attempts. Low center of gravity. Not supremely twitchy, highly explosive athlete but has some juice to get in and out of his breaks or when juking in space. Won't be an easy separator in the NFL but will lose some of the slower/stiffer CBs. Flashes of explosive return capabilities. Relatively long arms and big hands for a WR of his stature. And he's a natural hands-catcher. Effortlessly plucks the ball away from his frame. Bend/flexibility is there as a route-runner and when avoiding tacklers or breaking them. Strong reliable hands and can win in traffic despite his size (within reason). Has some hops. Used in a Rondale Moore-like way in college. Speed looks good, not amazing. Schemed easy throws underneath but did show some classic route ability at intermediate level. Niche-ish type who plays bigger than his size and will instantly boost a team's YAC endeavor.
