2025 Draft Order Tracker

Right now I’m rooting for the Saints, Titans, Raiders and Giants to get that critical third win and keep them behind us, as they all need QBs.

Although….

Giants play the Panthers this week so someone is going to get a useless win there that will actually hurt their team in the long run. Good for us though.

It makes more sense for us to root for Carolina in that particular game because I think it’s going to be harder for the Panthers to win any remaining games than the NYG. Plus a Carolina win really hurts New Orleans SOS.

We probably will end up drafting around number 10 give or take a couple spots either way.

I think we win 3 more games and finish at 5-12.

Looking at New Englands schedule here to gauge the chances of losing the SOS tie breaker, it appears that would be impossible.

The only teams NE plays the rest of the way that I aren’t on our schedule are the Chargers, as well as the Bears this week. Both of those teams will finish near .500 or better. The Bengals would be the only other non-common opponent we have with New England this year and it doesn’t appear they are going to be that bad and might in fact make a run to the wild card.

New England couldn’t possibly finish the season with a lower SOS than us.

Which means it’s virtually impossible for us to lose any tie breakers in the draft order unless most of the Jaguars opponents just start tanking their seasons.

Good news: the Dolphins lost to Tennessee and have five games remaining against teams on this list.

Bad news: the Dolphins have already defeated two of these teams.

Those things have no real bearing on draft seeding. Even if we beat NE twice and still finish with the same record, we’ll be picking before them.

I honestly can’t tell if you’re being serious here.

The primary tiebreaker is head to head. It has been for some time.

Strength of schedule is the first tie breaker so the head to head is irrelevant when it comes to the draft, at least initially, it might be far down the list of tie breakers.

But strength of schedule is typically the only tie breaker that matters.

I believe even a coin flip factors in before head to head. Head to head only matters for the playoffs.

So the Jets and Pats losing games really helps here although our SOS is incredibly low anyway, we are unlikely to lose any tie breakers.

Seen this too many times. We’ll get to 8-9, miss playoffs and pick in the middle of the 1st round.

Dolphins are going win 6 to 8 games this yr. I will say 12 to 17. Dolphins will be picking.

If we had a GM that wasn't on the hot seat, we would have sold Armstead and a few others at the deadline, making our future the main priority.

We have the easiest path to the #1 pick out of any team (as you have eloquently spelled out), but we're relatively healthy and this roster is good enough to win 4 to 5 more games vs this easy schedule.

And this is why we've been a .500ish team for 20 years. We're always putting the cart before the horse and then subsiquently; waiting too long to admit mkstakes and move on.

And the wheel keeps going, round and round and round.

The phrase "Same Ol Dolphins" is making a massive comeback.
