Last year our offensive line gave up 26 sacks TOTAL FOR THE YEAR!!

I'm sure we are on pace to shatter the NFL record.

If Hudson or Nick or whoever doesn't get this ONE thing fixed really soon, we are going continue to see some of the worst games ever as fin fans.

Right now Miami is the easy team to beat.

This is what happens when you do two things:

1) Needlessly tinker with an offensive line that had settled together and played very well the previous year. We should've had only one starter change, that being McKinney and even then only out of necessity. McIntosh should be starting at LT, and Hadnot should be at RG. Changing that much of the line makes you start all over again.

2) Bring in a quarterback who has a long, long history of holding on to the ball way too long. Culpepper is a master at holding the ball too long and has been for his entire career.

This team is on pace to set the alltime record for sacks allowed in a season. We have something special going on. Now's not the time to panic. Now's the time to shift gears and be excited about the negative possibilities!

Is it too early to start speculating what we will get for trading down from the #1 pick?

Sad stats. Doesnt really matter who we move and shove to different positions to cover for injured Guards or poor play regarding sacks given up or running lanes opened up. The fact is the O-Line is lacking talent. Its supposed to be a power line. We need quicker O-Lineman who can pull and can get into better positions to protect. Giving up sacks at the rate we are says we are not playing as a unit and the feet and body positions have gone AWOL. Pure lack of talent IMO.

yes - don't forget about the Raiders. They have a real chance to 0-16 this year. If they can get by the 49ers without a W next week, they're home free.

Seth McKinney's injury really set us back. We needed to adjust to it and that is why our oline had t be changed. I dont really understand the LJ Shelton acquisition though.

The OL is bad obviously since Shelton's as mobile as a tree, James is as strong as paper, and Jacox and Hadnot look spaced out on the field. But also, we have a QB that tends to get sacked a lot even under good OL's. If I had my way, Shelton would be at a guard spot and D-Mac/Carey at LT/RT.
