23rd or 24th pick in draft

If we don't make it to the Super Bowl, looks like we will have the 23rd or 24th pick in the draft depending upon the coin flip with the winner of tonight's Lions - Packers game.
Probably a little too low for the impact LB we need on defense.

I am pretty sure they changed the rules a few years ago and the final draft position is dependent on playoff results now? Not w/l record. So we could be as high as the 21st pick

This. We have been slowly accumulating young talent the last three years. There is no reason to believe that they won't continue to fill some of the holes. And there are far fewer going into 2017 than anybody here thought there would be four months ago.
 
This D is not a 1st rounder away...we need a great ***ency, extend the right guys, and a full draft with exactly what we needed, which is Gase having a full season to evaluate areas of need...remember, we still have 4 Tackles starting and a backup at C...its a miracle what Gase has done!

You may be right.
But I thought it was just the 2 Super Bowl teams pick 31st and 32nd.
So in theory if Houton made it to the Super Bowl, we could pick as high as 21st
 
We traded away picks for Caroo.
Hopefully we ger some comp picks.
We need to sign some good FA linebackers and draft smart.
Quality over quantity.
 
We're used to not making the playoffs but drafting in the top 15. This year we made the playoffs but will be drafting pretty late with lots of holes to fill. Can't fill every hole in the draft, specially thanks to t-dumb trading picks away for a 4th WR so we have to hit in free agency too. Can't afford to get guys like mario in free agency and then we really need to hit in the draft with at least 2 starters for our defense plus 2 or 3 more in free agency.

Ozzy rules!!
 
Hopefully a Reuben Foster or Jabrill Peppers falls to us. If not I would take Zach Cunningham.
