OK we've all had time to digest this game. Now lets take a step back and get persepective about Sunday and the first 4 games in general.

-Unlike most people here, and whether it's right or wrong, alot of my anger and blame is/was directed ant Ronnie Brown. Yes the Dolphins commited way to many penalties in the first half. And yes Gus threw 3 picks. But, this team fought back hard to be in a position to win and Ronnie fumble in the RED ZONE. Too bad. Rookie mistake. Hope he bounced back.
-If you take a closer look at the 2 road game the Phins have played, you realize the Dolphins were in tough spots.
Both road games were division games against teams that were in desperate must-win situations. Divisional road games are tough sledding at the best of times, let alone when you are facing a desperate team.
-This team is 2-2 and in virtual tie for first place. (They are tied in the loss column with the Pats.) I think most people here, if given the choice at the start of the year would've taken 2-2 at this point.

-This team has some things to work on. They MUST cut down on penalties. And they must cut down on costly turnovers (Are you listenin Gus and Ronnie). But overall there is no need to hit the panic button. Hell, your finger should nowhere near the panic button.

So if you package all these points up in a nice little ball, you see this team is on the verge of being really good. But they aren't quite there yet. This team can still make the playoffs, or even win the division. But it could also not make the playoffs, or even finish in the botton 5 of the league. It all comes down to how quickly they fix the problems.
And I haven't even talked about the Ricky factor........but that's another thread. :D

After calming down and watching the game a second time...there is NO doubt that the SINGLE most destructive player was Gus. He could have had 3-4 more TD passes if he wasn't hell-bent on overthrowing our recievers...CC was very frustrated because, not only was he open a lot, but at least two long balls, that Gus had time to throw were well overthrown and should have been TDs. The worst part was that he also overthrew a wide open Booker and a wide open McMike that could, probably would have been TDs...it's a shame that we couldn't do better than Gus...

RBs fumble was nothing compared to the missed opportunities that Gus blew off...Blaming Brown for the loss is like blaming the kicker on a last minute field goal that didn't make it...just the symptom, not the cause...look closely at Gus and you'll see what I mean...he was terrible...and I didn't even mention his INTs...those were just more fuel to the fire...

I agree with 99% of your post, except...

I don't know how much blame I'd place on Ronnie for that fumble.
Clements said after the game that he'd been punching at the ball in Ronnie's hands all day trying to force a fumble... he finally got one to pop out.

And I am way less mad now then I was yesterday. It was more frustration than anything. Lots of blame to go around in this loss. I am still concerned with the offense. Hopefully Ricky helps.

the offensive line didn't pass block very well today. most notably on the last to plays of the game. on the very last play the pocket collapsed virtually as soon as the ball was snapped. sam adams was OWNING whoever was on him in the game, he had constant penetration. once again we did well against the run, decent against the pass other than a couple plays, the one to evans and the one to moulds in the endzone, altho they were both short routes and they are both very good receivers. gus had 3 pics and the only one that was really terrible was the one in the endzone when he stared down the receiver. gus didnt play great however of the QB's on this team he gives us the best chance to win, so i pay no mind to any of the people that still think AJ or even sage rosenfels can step in and do better, because they cant. ronnie brown i think had his best game of the season today, minus the fumble, even tho he had more yds last week he broke alot of tackles today and showed BETTER vision. that was a great hit the bills player put on him when he fumbled and also clements hand was on the ball trying to rip it the whole time, you can hardly fault him for that it was just good defense by the bills. in all honesty i don't see how you cant put alot of the blame on mcmichael for this game. it was his stupid taunting penalty that resulted in the large runback and field goal that made it a 6 pt game. we were stoppin em all day in the 2nd half the last thing they needed was a huge runback and good field position to give them some momentum. just my thoughts on the game, nothing that cant be fixed on our way to beating the bucs next week.

You win as a team you lose as a team...The whole team lost the game not just gus or ronnie...

I blame Ronnie 100% for the fumble. I am not saying that he sucks or anything like that, he just made a rookie mistake. I saw the fumble potential right away when he tried to stiff arm the guy instead of putting both hands on the ball. I was thinking in my head, "Ronnie, holding on the ball is more important than an extra few yards, don't..." then he fumbled the ball. He should of just put both hands on the ball in that situation.

this is a team sport. The fins lost as a team...there is no finger pointing going on....We build off this and move on..

Also, if Clements had been doing it all game, Brown should have beeen even more aware of it. Oh well, rookie mistake. He'll learn.
He played great otherwise.

If we start blaming plyers then we will start looking like baltimore. They got all kinds of issues and they are starting to point fingers at each other.. We dont need that...

I dont Blame Ronnie for loseing the game. Way too many other mistakes to blame him. Specially with the way he fumbled that ball. He made a nice catch and was twisting and turning taking on two defenders tryin to get the most yards he possibly could. It just happens one of the two tacklers got his shoulder on the ball. I'd never blame a guy for trying his hardest and not giving up on a play. Sure that one didnt work out but Ronnie was very impressive. I just wish we'd gotten him the ball more than we did.

I don't blame him for the loss. I think he made a mistake on that fumble. He was trying to get too much when he really just needed to protect the football. I see it as a rookie mistake and hopefully he will learn from it. There were many reasons why Miami lost that game. Heck you can't even say Miami would of scored if Ronnie didn't fumble.

Take at good look at everything that happened, 18 penalties, 5 TO and to only lose by six, with a chance of winning at the end. That's gotta mean something, don't ya think

I'm moving on to the Tampa game, but I'll less confident than I was last week at this time with the kind of garbage displayed on the field yeasterday by the Phins.

I Agree....put those hands on the ball...put away the stiff arm n Spin juke in that situation...just hit the ground...over a minute to play.only a few yards to go........for the win....Alot of things went wrong sunday...BUT that fumble lost the game.....Bottom line
