Let's be real people. That's about all we have on this team right now. 25 legitimate football players that will still be around when Saban has the time time to retool this roster and take this team to the promised land. I saw the game and it did indeed look ugly tonight. It looked as if they didn't want to play. The defense, with the exception of the few long runs (bad execution on one by Sam Madison..took a horrible angle) played really, really well. It's nice to see us blitzing when we don't know when we're going to blitz. The secondary did some very nice things. Ben was playing a lot of patty-cake with the ball which led me to believe he was a little confused by what he was seeing. He ended up having to abandon the play and scramble for yards several times.
But let's be honest with ourselves and realize we have a long way to go. It took 5 years to make us this bad and it's not going to be fixed in 3 months. I say 25 players because that's about all that we have right now. Thanks to the previous regime we have a lot of dead weight on this roster. Years and years of bad drafts is finally catching up to us. Saban and the staff knows that. I see a lot of potential in our young players. We may have to take a step or two back this year before we're able to take that giant leap forward. There is no shame in that either. I hate to use cliches, but that's the truth.
I bleed aqua and orange and have for 21 years. The thing that makes this team so frustrating and so heart breaking for all of us, is that 1-25 we can compete with just about anyone in the league. After that, there isn't much there. And's that's our downfall right now.
Give Nick some time. Keep everything in perspective. Support the franchise now and through the difficult times that may lie ahead and I promise that 3-4 years from now we will be dancing in the streets in January.

Crowder makes the Pro Bowl within the next 3 years. Mark my words. He is a bonafide multi-faceted LB.
