It was 25 years ago this very day when Montana beat Marino to win Super Bowl XIX. As you know....it was Marino's only trip to the big game.

Please take a moment to mourn with me. In dedication to his career, I will be wearing the number 13 jersey tonight! :)

Cheers Dan-o!

I remember the day well. Such promise even after we lost. We all thought Dan would lead the Phins to many more only to be disappointed year in and year out.

I will mourn with you brother...but we are still here cheering and hoping for the day we return to the big show. Cheers Dan the Man!

I remember that day all too well. I fell asleep earlier in the day and had a dream that the 49er's pounded us.

Unfortunatly, it happened as well. Cant believe its 25 years and we have not been back.

I was just thinking the same thing. I got through about 4 minutes of highlights today from that game and shut it off. I wanted to throw up.

I love it when people question my fandom. I have lived and died with this team for longer than some of these guys have been alive, and I'm questioned on my fandom.

I know that sick feeling.

2009, AFC Wildcard, Ravens at Dolphins.... :boohoo:

I can still see the catch and then HIT and the 49ers TE Russ Francis fumbled and 1 of the Blackwood Brothers picks it up and is running for a TD and then the Ref`s blow the whistle and say Incomplete Pass?!?....all down hill from there,,,,,

Speaking of let downs the play off loss to the chargers in the 90's. I dont remember the exact year but god that game still stings.

1994. That's probably the most heart breaking loss I've seen since I've been a fan. We were in such great shape during halftime, too. :(

What A downer!!

I was a big Dolfan growing up in central Pennsylvainia, the heart of STILLER country. It was below zero for that Super Bowl and luckily I didn't have to go to school the next day.I just remember Jay Brophy a rookie linebacker the Dolphins had to start, and the 49ers went right at him with screens left and right with Roger Craig. Not to mention all the miss tackles by the KILLER B's!! One gripe I do have from that Super Bowl is our Mark Bros. were mugged on a regular basis but what were we gonna do when the 49ers were playing a home game in Palo Alto!! I am sick because I was pissed the Phins lossed but I, like every other Dolfan thought we'd be back alot in the upcoming years!! Shula let the Defense get pathetic and Dan was a one man machine for the latter part of the 80's!!!:ohno:

It's a damn shame that the one time Marino had a good enough team played in the Super Bowl, the other team was being QBed by the only guy as good as Marino.

Our Inside LB's were crap then too.

It was a big let down...I felt we would crush them... the loss to New England in the AFC championship game was brutal...they ran all over us...

Pretty ****ing sad that it's not only Dan's only shot at a ring, that's our last SB appearance period.

FFFFFUUUUUUU
