It wasn't Dan's fault that the defense sucked or that Shula did a relatively poor job of drafting during those years.

Hang in there dude. I'm pretty certain that we have more talent on the team than at any stage of the past 15 years. I'm very confident that we make the playoffs. We have a good young QB set to take off and our Defense will be decent. We have a creative young Offensive Coordinator who will be far less predictable in the playcalling. Last season we were competitive in 13 of the 16 games and narrowly missed the playoffs. This year with a better O-line, Tannehill should get better protection, there should be natural improvement.
 
In those 26 years we got to watch the greatest QB to ever play the game. So.. calling it nothing is a bit much. It's been rough, but Marino, Zach, JT.. It hasn't been nothing. I think once we start winning again. Make it back to being successful consistently we'll look back at these dark times with a little more nostalgia. All we need is leadership, direction, and vision. I don't see it in Ross or Philbin, but maybe Hickey is something special and things will align to allow his influence to guide this team back.
 
I feel you Dude. Love the Dolphins, I stick with it. But it seems like every year is a kick in the balls. Last year was a mess. And I can't believe this crap man...No Pouncey, Reshad Jones, or Dion Jordan. Another shaky start to another year of Dolphin football, would you expect anything less. I dig it...
 
Funny you mention 26 years...

Last night's opening drive for a Touchdown was the FIRST time that's happened to start a pre-season in, you guess, how many years?

A lot of great memories. A lot of wins. A lot of excitement. Some really enjoyable times watching and cheering on my team.

There is way too much obsession with winning the championship these days. I would rather put together a team that was a contender basically every season for 15 years than win one championship and have about 10 bad seasons in a 15 year span.
 
so u want to bring everyone else down with u? ive been a fan for 31 years and im pumped for this session
