During the last 3 games, 295 yards came from penalties. I found hard to understand that there were 9 times that our defense have failled because of penalties.
Under this line, i'm a little bit worried about our secondary most than any other area. Just this week our team got 13 penalties for 138 yards, including two for pass interference and two for defensive holding.
I still can't size the problem with just three games under Saban, with a new mix of defensive schemes and a totally new offensive system, but his resumè told us he's special about it and discipline must guide us to see less and less penalties yards week by week.
To get the real picture, during odd weeks we have been 'very lucky' because Broncos never get in the game and weather was our 13th player, and this week Lance saved the day. But our team (as expected) is improving, we're enjoying good games and our offense is showing by times hard to stop.
Our OL must execute easier by weeks 7-8, because this guys are better than last weeks and as i see it, opponents attack so much our linemen because everybody tag them as weak. We'll win some respect after Ronnie Brown gets in mental shape to be the starter (remember he lose some weeks of camps) and also expect to have less pressure when Ricky gets back, because he has name, instintcs and everybody will keep and eye on him, leaving deep space for the rest of our troops, so we'll have less offensive penalties.
For those who can't understand Saban's rules, the Dolphins didn't draft a Cadillac because Nick is no Dave, and Nick wants flexible players like Ronnie. He's starting to be the centerpiece of the offense Saban's building, just wait for Ricky and this fins will show what full-power means.
