Justin King - CB - Penn St.
Got beat repeatedly. He has the combine numbers, but he has absolutely never lived up to them. If you want to tell Joe Paterno that he didn't coach the guy right, then that's your affair.

Mario Manningham - WR- Michigan
Adrian Arrington had the same combine numbers as Mario. He has better size. He didn't lie to everyone at the combine. Why the hell are we talking about Mario Manningham at all?

Andre Caldwell - WR - Florida
Because we all know how well Florida receivers work out.

Arman Shields - WR - Richmond
Inhuman combine numbers, but take a look at some video of the guy. It's downright ugly. He doesn't play to his speed, and he doesn't have very good hands. Jerome Simpson was a lot the same way, but fortunately the Bengals took care of that nightmare.

Carl Nicks - OT - Nebraska
It's not going to happen. Trust me. The guy is a head case beyond what's been reported, who apparently "got aggressive" with several different coaches in interviews. Yeah, I know you're thinking you can spin that positive, but this dude's going to be in jail in four years, whether he's got an NFL contract or not. It's a shame, because he absolutely has all the tools to be an NFL left tackle.
 
Word is that Ireland likes Caldwell. And why would you want us to stay away? Jets fan?

He plays a lot slower than his 40 time, has inconsistent hands, keeps getting injured, accumulated all his stats against inferior competition and just hasn't ever been a very impressive college player. I'm fine with getting him in the 5th round or so, but I don't think much of him.

Not that I did. Just that my buddy said Ireland likes him. Frankly, I would love a nice trade down with multiple picks please!


BTW, my buddy works for SF cleaning services and is married to Ireland's Daughters best friend's sister. :hi5:

Wow.

Andre Caldwell - Injury prone? He's had one major injury, a broken leg suffered on a kick return. That's it. He's extremely tough and versatil.

Hands - He doesn't have naturally soft hands, but he still makes good catches.
Speed - He's no deep threat. He's not a natural when it comes to tracking and following under the ball. His game is catch and run. He's a terrific YAC guy.

Inferior opponents? He was one of the senior bowl standouts and had coaches raving for him. There is absolutely no chance of him lasting until the bottom of the 3rd round. When he played a great team, he stood up to the challenge. Look at the Michigan game, look at the Arkansas SEC Championship game ( receiving he had a very poor game, but returning kicks and throwing the ball, he won that game ), look at the
tape of him against Tennessee a few years back. The guy can play.

Will he be a #1? Oh god no, he just doesn't have that in him. He'll be a solid #3 in the league for a long time. He's very versatile, can come in immediately and contribute as a KR/PR and he is a dynamo at trick plays ( very good at throwing the ball, and has nice moves as a running back ). I really wouldn't want Miami to take a guy like that until the 4th, to be honest.

I'm really torn between him and Adrian Arrington as far as what WR I want them to bring into camp for competition, but right now the only player I really don't want Miami to draft is any player at 64. There are no guys available to us that we HAVE to take now. We need to trade that pick to a team desperate for Dan Connor and get ourselves an extra 4th while trading down to the mid-bottom 3rd.

Yeah, he seems to have a lot of problems shedding blocks, which probably has to do with his really short arms. If you can't fight through the trash, you're pretty much of no use in a 3-4 defense.

Its that and the fact that he doesnt play strong. He always seems to be going backwards. He doesnt seem to make many plays where he isnt going backwards or laterally. I think he's a fan favorite like Zbikowski and Silva but I dont see the NFL talent in his game and I'm a Penn State fan lol. Trust me, I'm a huge fan of most Penn State LBs... just not him
