Ok so the fins have had a nice streak of having an extra 2nd round pick. Normally they come from this time of year.

So who is it going to be this year? Who are we going to give up to gain this extra 2nd for next years draft?

My money is on Camarillo sometime between Preseason game 4-5(Edit: meant between 3-4, hit the wrong buttons in succesion)

First off, no way Cam is worthy of a 2nd in the eyes of the GMs around the league. Secondly, no way we trade Cam. Penny looks for Cam constantly. If healthy, Cam will have 80+ catches this year.

JASON ALLEN!!!! Not even Mueller will make that deal......

Honestly there isn't really anyone I could see us willing to lose for a 2nd.

Porter could fetch a 2nd, but he's too important. You could argue he's getting older and might as well get value for him, move JT to the weakside and Roth would handle his old position. But then what happens when JT is done? Cam Wake? Moses? That's a huge hole that would need to be filled with an elite player.

I agree with above - don't think Cam will fetch a 2nd until after a major post-injury year.

Ginn could probably fetch a 2nd, but again, he's important, being the only real speed threat we have.

That's all I can think of as far as 2nd rounders go...

Could be a package deal as well.

Cam cant fetch a 2nd i agree, but you never know as teams get desperate as players go down.

Also Cam seems to be the most despensable of all our Quality players. I would hate to lose him but I would give him up in a heartbeat for a 2nd rounder conisdering the young talent we have at reciever .

Well, you're right in that the writing could be on the wall for him. This regime drafted a similar player in Hartline, and even though I'm sure they like Cam, the smart business move would be to get something for Cam while you can as soon as you're sure Hartline will pan out to be as good or better than Cam.

However, it's too early in his recovery from ACL surgery - he's a big risk for any team to trade for. That being said, if he has a good year, I would expect this to happen next offseason.

camarillo isn't going anywhere. we have a group full of unproven wideouts - and camarillo is only semi-proven. roth would be an interesting option if the **** hits the fan with the current situation - but he couldn't garner a 2nd even if there weren't health issues. i don't see it happening this year.

I could see it either being Davone Bess or Greg Camarillo.. for a 2nd round pick alot of teams are using "slot Receivers" now.. and we have 3 of them, im not saying i want that to happen but if we could get a 2nd round pick from someone id say it would be for either of those 2. if we had to chose a team.. id say Ravens or Titans would do it.

maybe after this season well franchise Pennington and do what the patriots did with Cassel :D.. but well probably just resign him for 3 more years :D, both those options make me happy..

nobody would garner a 2nd-round pick unless losing that player hurt us significantly. we might end up trading rotation guys, like David Martin or Randy Starks, but neither would net us more than a 4th rounder IMO.

i don't think it's a good idea to rip the team apart now to get more draft picks. we've had two drafts to build a foundation. granted, we still need pieces, but we can live with a regular slate of picks. we already have an addiotional pick iirc.
