3 completed passes would have changed the tone of this board....

Selective stats. I can point to three and more bad passes which could have let to TDs as well. I can also point to a half a dozen bad passes per game where the receiver bailed Tannehill out.

Has it come down to pointing to three passes now?

No, but I have watched two damn good QBs tonight, and there has been several deep ball misses tonight and a few misplaced balls that were caught or incomplete that could have been made better. This game tonight was about the players after the catch. Happens every game. A lot of us are so close to this team that we don't see the entire picture. 24 of 32 teams have a loss or more after week 2. Small sample of a complicated game.

Yea I think it has. I'm not defending all his inaccuracies, my point is RT really is three passes away from fans on this board excited about his 6tds over two games and people posting about how he may be turning the corner, rather than calling for his benching... It's really ridiculous

Agreed... Good post sir

What makes u think he is being coddled? Philbin was clear that the offense needs to improve as a whole, inaccurate passes, dropped balls, inadequate blocks??? Lazor also called out the qb position following the Pats game... Don't think anyone is being coddled. For any QB to be an effective leader they need the confidence of their coach. Any competent coach knows this... The season would be destroyed changing qbs this early, because once Moore starts to stink it up, how do u go back to RT successfully? The team would be a laughingstock

They never drafted another young QB to make him compete, they made him feel he's the guy no matter what his play is. That's coddled. They had 3 years to do that and never did. I don't think Ryan has been too worried about Moore taking his job

Ah, so now we are on 'if' this or 'if' that? Chad Henne would still be here 'if' he also had some things go his way when he was starting here.

The same thing can be said of ANY QB we have had since Marino.

If Ryan wasn't coddled he would have been forced to square off against Moore in training camp back in 2012. Instead they conducted a farce competition by bringing in that washed up Garrard (which was an insult to Moore) and splitting the reps three ways, ultimately to decided what they already knew - they were handing the keys to Sherman's boy.

Well neither u or I know that...lots of holes to fill on this team too, so it's hard to waste a pick on a developmental qb when ur line is Swiss cheese, u need depth at rb,, te, lb, etc

You build around the QB first and foremost, it's the most important position and needs to be addressed. Everything else falls in after, you don't win without a QB. And you keep drafting high until you get it right. Hasn't the last 14 Miami Dolphin years shown you that?

Well let's agree to disagree sir...we aren't getting anywhere with this anyway

Actually many teams have won with great teams around them and subpar QBs. A good QB is worthless without talent around him. This isn't basketball son.

yes OP... but it was the same 3 passes he's missed his last 4 reg games.. all in critical situations.. all the same way.. not good

A synergy is needed between QB play and the talent around him. However the QB is the one with the ball in his hands for the majority of the offensive possessions, hence the reason they are looked to as the leader of the offense.

yeah everyone would feel better...except the usual suspects...but the bottom line is those plays need to be executed...and they weren't...

oh wait i thought this was about 3 balls in the bills game...lol...2 weeks in this teams leaving a lot of points on the board...hopefully in time it gets cleaned up...may just be growing pains may be something more...we will find out

i'm smart enough to know i'm not bailing on this qb 2 games into a new offense...doesnt sound like a lot of people on here are though

Tannenhill literally could have had 5 Touchdown passes against the Bills.

1. Brandon Gibson pivot route.
2. Rishard Matthews slant/crosser route.
3. Brian Hartline dropped bomb.
4. Lamar Miller arrow/flare route.
5. Mike Wallace post route.

I fail to see how the chance to throw 5 touchdown passes is at the fault of Philbin or Lazor. I still believe in Tannenhill though. He is making very good reads and progressions. He just needs to settle down and put it in the right spot.
