3 completed passes would have changed the tone of this board....

So....you're a better coach because you accept failure and you don't make your QB compete for his job. It's time for THill to be called out. Enough with the coddling.

Nobody is accepting failure. That's just a Finheaven notion.

worst special teams performance by this team in a long time.

As far as Tannehill settling down, sure we can hope for that. Meanwhile, he's 26 years old. Brad Kaaya the true freshman quarterback of the Canes looked ridiculously nervous and tight in the opener at Louisville. His arm was much weaker than it appeared in scrimmages. Canes boards lit up. I was concerned but I emphasized that a young kid in a situation like that can be similar to a golfer who stands up to the ball with tension everywhere, and no chance to maximize distance. Kaaya has relaxed into the role and now his arm looks perfectly adequate for a college quarterback, although there's potential for nerves again at Nebraska on Saturday night.

I'm happier to adjust an 18/19 year old than 26.

Sweet. When does Tannehill and the Dolphins get to play a quality opponent like that of Arkansas St. And you're the one always whining about "happy adjusters".

And please stop with the individuality comparisons to that of a team sport. Especially golf, in being that it's a game and not a sport.

I see some still want to adjust only in favor of Tannehill, when this is the same QB who last year had one of the highest dropped interception totals in the NFL:

Pretty worthless chart unless you can include dropped passes and their predicted results if caught into the mix. How many extra yards would RT have had? How many more TD's?

Are you that dense? I posted that chart because the happy adjusters wanted to ONLY credit Tannehill with the passes that were dropped. Why leave out the INT's that were dropped? Because it inconveniences their argument.

Dense boy wants his adaptation of jolliness chart. You need to deliver.

If wallace keeps his feet in vs the pats? Some of u guys need to get a grip. That was a bad throw.

Agreed, while it might have been possible for Wallace to get 2 feet down in the end zone there was no reason for him to have to. He was behind the defense and there was nobody to the inside. The tv announcing crew mentioned that the pass was too close to the boundary because RT's momentum was carrying him toward sideline. So I put that miss on both players. The other 2 drops were definitely on the receiver. But any QB can point to dropped would be TD's to make there stats look better. the bottom line is that 6 long TD's in 34 games is not going to get it done. we need better play from everyone on offense.

There was no reason for Wallace to step out of bounds. He had plenty of room to make the catch in bounds. If he runs straight in the endzone, the ball would have stuck in his ear hole. He drifted to the sideline because of his need to catch the ball in his chest. It is on him to make a better attempt.

Maybe so....last year....aren't we now working on 2014?

PFF's play by play analysis would have downgraded Tannehill for those plays...no?

Yes....he also could have drug his second foot and made the touchdown.

As many top receivers would have.

I disagree and so did the TV announcers. No reason to put that ball so close to the sideline. Ryan has done this about 10 times over the last few years. You want to keep it away from the safety in the middle but if he is not there you have to put that ball 2 yards from the boundary. That way Wallace can just run through the back of the end zone instead of of having to worry about boundary.

That pass was kind of like hitting a golf ball from side hill lie in golf. The ball is going to move from where you aim it towards the slant of the hill. You have to aim to the high side for it to go where you want. When you are rolling out you have to throw it more to the inside so that the drift from your momentum is accounted for.

I don't care where he could have or should have thrown it. He threw it in a spot that should have been a fairly routine catch. He was on the run to avoid a sack. He never set his feet. The ball was thrown on time, with good trajectory and the complaint is that it could have been s few feet further inside? Please. Look at my avatar. That ball is a foot or more inside the field of play at head level. If he simply reaches up and catches it with his hands it is a TD. It is also important to note that it is the receivers responsibility to leave room along the side on that kind of route for this very reason.

He hit Wallace in the face mask with a throw later in the game. Is that Tannehill's fault too? He should have thrown it to chest level. So what. It was a catchable ball where it was placed and so was the ball in the end zone.

His left foot is almost on the boundary in your picture. The Right foot is going to come down outside of the left. You can actually see the way the ball is pointed it would have landed out of bounds if Wallace doesn't catch. There is nobody inside thus no reason to throw it so close to boundary. RT17 does this too much IMO.

Agreed, The facemask throw was drop

Again, he drifted to the sideline unnecessarily. It is his responsibility to leave room along the sideline. If he does that, and catches the ball with his HANDS it is an easy TD. Wallace has no awareness of the sideline.

He drifted that way because the ball is headed out of bounds. Your picture shows that IMO.
