Peyton Manning insists he's made no decision on his possible NFL destination. Sure, Peyton. Sure.

No one in the league believes that. They think Manning has a short list but doesn't want to publicly admit it so he can maximize the inevitable bidding war.

One team official that contacted Manning's agent, Tom Condon, says he got the definite impression that Manning indeed has already decided where he wants to go, or, at least, the handful of teams truly in the mix. The official, who did not want to be identified, believes that Miami, Washington and Denver are the front-runners.

But the official conceeded the front-runner will be the team that, in the end, offers the most guaranteed money.

The official believes that contrary to some reports Manning is indeed open to playing in the NFC even in the NFC East where his brother, Eli, is obviously king of the division.

It's still early in the process but one thing is clear: the Manning derby is fully underway and despite his public protestations Manning likely already has a good idea of where he wants to go.

Far too many reports out there. First I hear it's about guaranteed money, then it's not that important b/c he'd agree to sign an incentive-based deal, now some official says it's about the guaranteed money again.

Something like this gives me a bad feeling. Reminds me of when Nnamdhi signed with the eagles out of nowhere. Like Manning might just suddenly sign with Tennessee or something.

Not to mention there have been a lot of reports saying he wouldn't play for Washington cause he doesn't want to play his brother twice a year. He comes to Miami, we just finished playing the NFC East and won't play them again for another 4 years.

terrible list, no way peyton goes to the same division as eli, they'd be in direct competition for everything (division, playoffs, nfc championship and they'd play against each other twice a year, not happening, why would he go to denver? to play with elite wr's such as eric decker and eddie royal, lol better weather, better weapons, no way he picks denver over miami

Wherever Peyton decides to sign, I hope he does it quick. Two weeks of this garbage would be absolutely unbearable.

It is just speculation from a source that is allegedly quoting his agent.
Ross knows that he has to put the best offer on the table, and Ireland will have to make some roster moves if necessary to get Peyton.
Watching and listening to these agents is like watching a dozen pea****s fanning their tail feathers...lol

If we miss out on Manning, we can still trade up for RGIII(exciting prospect), sign Flynn(meh), and at worst draft Tannehill(prospect) and start Moore next season.
Let's keep some perspective here. We will be OK no matter how it shakes out.

If the Dolphins really feel he is healthy, capable of playing at a high level and worth a kings ranson then just make the best offer you are prepared to make, give him until the 13th to decide. If he declines just move on...

Peyton Manning's mental image to an NFL defensive player....

I think this all goes down within a week.
I sure hope you are right CK, because if this drags out, then I fear (like him or not) we miss out on Flynn waiting for Manning. Then if we miss out on him and Flynn is gone . . . . . Then we will have to pay a big price in the draft to move up or roll the dice again with a second-round talent QB (even if we reach and get him in the 1st). In years past, we mess it all up and end up on the outside looking in at it all with nothing to show for it. For some reason, I have a little more hope this year we won't mess it up.

There's a saying that goes, "When God closes a door, he opens a window."

As unpleasant as it is to think that our pursuit of Manning leaves us scrambling to where we don't get Manning or Flynn...and of course I don't think Miami are interested in trading up for Robert Griffin...then perhaps the strategy shifts to Brandon Weeden who would start IMMEDIATELY and win from day one.

Weeden is still my #1 choice despite liking Flynn.
