i'm not going to count gus's arrant throw to the TE that sailed way off the mark and gilmore made a circus catch.

so, as it stands, thats 3 preseason games and no 1st team tds.
:shakeno:

i don't want to hear the game plan excuse or the system is new or the unit is gelling BLAH BLAH BLAH..

no one else is game planning, and there are other teams running new systems with new players, and they don't suck on offense as bad as we do right now.

edit: gus actually wasn't even playing with the first team in the bears game so that wasn't a first team td anyway

its only preseason. and you didnt have brown out there.

Whats your point?

Its preseason....we are still in the process of building our offense and making things work....Do you expect them to be scoring everytime they get the ball..

agreed. Very disturbing. This offense struggles. It's like Saban said yesterday. They keep shooting theirselves in the foot. Once they learn to hang onto the football, limit the turnovers, they will give themselves a chance.

i'd expect somewhere along the way in their 17 first team series they would be able to get 1 freakin td. just 1.

you gotta take some positives... the first team D has also looked impressiv.

Wow. Someone with a level head.......and a Bills fan to boot.
Seriously though, this board is filled with the most pessimistic, the sky is falling, downers I have ever seen.
Everyone just take a deep breath and relax. These games are so meaningless in the grand scheme of things.
The thread starter said he didn't want to hear the "no game planning excuse" but with a screen name like "the coordinator", I would've figured you know better than to dismiss it as nothing.
If you guys must put stock into preseason games at least wait until next week vs. TB when the coaches actually gameplan. If the O still looks this bad, then MAYBE, it's time to worry.
Better yet, wait till Septemeber when the games actually mean something.

the point is no one is game planning right now, yet they are scoring and we aren't. you guys think we are going to just magically turn things on when we start "game planning" in the regular season and that's comical. we can't execute basic football fundamentals. how in the hell are we going to execute an intricate game plan?

I never once said I thought we were gonna start magically turning things around when the season starts. All I said was I'd worry about it then if we don't. While it's true most teams aren't game-planning, most teams also aren't learning a new system, with all new coaches.
To be honest with you, what I have seen in the preseason so far, isn't much less than what I expected to see. Would I have liked to see a TD or 2 by the first team? Sure. But the fact that I haven't isn't as disturbing to me as it to others.

The most distubing thing last night was the false starts with the starting unit. I thought with Gus getting the majority of the work with the first unit they were supposed to improve.
