1) both teams actually gameplanned for each other
2) 1st string defenses played the entire game
3) 1st string offenses played the entire game
4) Entire gameplans were used by both teams
5) One was a real game, the other was a glorified scrimmage.
Not in the offenses ineptitude with turnovers, penalties, etc. and disagree with most of your reasoning.
1, 4) If neither team gamplanned and both did last year, why does this matter. All it shows is our offense players haven't improved over last year against the Steelers whether the game is gameplanned or not.
2 &3) Not valid when all Miami's offense performed badly, when 1rst stringers went against 1rst stringers, 2nd stringers against 2nd stringers, etc. But all strings of Miami's defense played well and think the defense will be very good as players adjust to Saban's system.
5) Only point I agree with, but still doesn't change my disapointment with the offense's production. Good judge of this year's offense compared to last years will be Carolina in week 3 (we lost to Pitt week 3 last year).
