1. Secondary. Are depth at the secondary isnt looking to good espically when our 1st rounder J. Allen gets burned.

2. Offensive line. Tampa brought preasure whith their starters which halted are offense for the 1st quarter. If our Oline cant protect Cpep things will not look good for us.

3. Penalties. By god I thought I was watching the Oakland Raiders. I think most of our starting Oline brought the most in. I know Saban was fuming about this.

And a small rant I had in the 4th quarter. Well its the 4th quarter and its 13-3 and Tampa is in a 4th and 1 situation, Well on that play they missed the biggest hold of the night my god you have to be blind to miss it. Which the very next play was the touchdown J. Allen gave up. I hate non calls that can change the game it ticks me off.

One thing we need to fix no-one is mentioning is the timing on our Blitz's the Dline is getting pressure a lot but if you look at it all the LBs are getting clogged up at the line, and we all know when you dont get pressure on the Blitz it makes your secondary open for a big play against them

Secondary for sure, i know its preseason and 2nd and 3rd teams are in but 5 50+yard scores for td in 2 games...just bad

Yep, The LB's haven't been getting thru at all, and we are a team that actually doesn't mind blitzing, maybe not as blitz happy as some other teams but we use the blitz frequently. We are not having the success that I hoped for in that department yet.

The OLine and the penalties I think we will be fine with, the secondary is definetly a concern. Not even because of the JAllen play, I mean he got beat, but I really don't want this team to be in a postion to rely on him to be a starting CB this year . . then we are really in trouble with depth. We just need to get healthy back there with our CB's.

Well we went down from 4 50 yarders to one 45 yarder . . even if most don't think so, I would call that an improvement . . atleast it was better than last week . . Rome wasn't built in a day my friend, its gonna take time.

I think of it more along the lines of from 31 points to 10 points, and IMO thats a huge improvment.

I mean after all it doesnt matter how they score, its still 7 points whether it be a 1 yard play or a 99 yard play

Yea, trust me, I definetly don't wanna see receivers getting past our CB's in the regular season with this much ease. But I know when we get the full schemes in and all our personnel hopefully healthy we will be ok. It was a rookie and a FA pickup on that big play (Allen and Cooper), that is something we will hopefully not see in the reg season.

I thought coming on this thread that the three issues would be:

1.) Offense
2.) Defense
3.) Special team/coaching

This team has looked pathetic in the preseason so far! I hope they're good against Carolina on Thurs. I'm going to that game.

Kinda harsh man . . pathetic? lol, I wouldn't go that far, especially considering the have faced 2 of the best defenses in the league and gonna play a third one next week. Defense looked shaky in game 1 but looked much better this game outside of the first series and the series where the Bucs got that long TD pass. We have been outstanding on special teams? wth u talking about lol. Jones is looking like a pro bowl caliber punter and Mare looks to be in great form on his FG's and his KO returns. Returns have been good. Offense has been better than expected with Harrington looking good and the RB's looking good. Cpep doing his thing, I mean what more do u want . . 2 30-0 wins lol, nah we will save that kinda play for the Steelers mane.

It was more or less a joke. I just basically covered the whole team was all. They haven't looked like a playoff caliber team yet. I don't care if it's just preseason, they are a LONG WAY from where they need to be, and that is collectively as a team and coaching staff. Jacksonville's D is not all that great and Tampa was subbing there starters in and out a lot in the beggining of the game.

i think our secondary should be ok jack hunt had an absolute stormer so hopefully he continues on with those awesome performances, althoug jason allen is looking pretty crummy so far i would give him another week or two before i really start to criticise him. deke cooper also seems as though he is comming into his own back there at safety so i think as long as saban makes the right choices with who will and wont be starting we should be ok

I like Deke Cooper. He's a solid depth guy. That was a nice pickup.
