3 rookie starters

The thing that i was most excited about during the Broncos game was the fact that we had 3 rookie starters. Travis Daniels played like a veteran. Will Poole is gonna have a hard time winning that number 2 spot when he comes back.
Channing was everywhere. I think getting playing time w/ Zach & Junior will be huge for his career.
As for Ronnie, well there are already a few threads about him. He picked up every block that he needed (a la Edgerrin James) and made a big catch on 3rd down to keep the drive going.

We all knew that Saban would have a big draft considering he coached against most of these guys, but to imagine that we would have 3 starters on opening day and Matt Roth who had signifcant playing time w/ our D line is very impressive to say the least!

when was the last time wanny had this many rookies starting, and not just starting, starting and playing awsome

Daniels played well, but I was at the game and watching him closely. He was burned several times. He shows a lot of promise but he will get his rookie bumps and bruises.

That was great. I love the fact that Saban is not afraid to play rookies. They might not have the experience that the older guys do, but they have a ton of upside and might be more talented. That is going to pay dividens in the long run.

I def thought Crowder looked impressive esp. since he only spent 2 yrs in college.

Agree playing with Zach and Junior is excellent for Crowder, should teach him what it takes and accelerate the learning curve.

This has to make you wonder what Saban could have done with that 2nd and 3rd we gave away last year for Feeley and Gordon?? I know hindsight is 20/20, but with Feeley at #3 and Gordon not even on the roster anymore, I think I'd rather have those picks back.
