3 round mock Draft

It does seem impossible though with so many teams infront of us who could use a starting QB or one to sit until their current shaky one goes boom or bust.

It's not impossible and a lot more probable than I would have thought only a month ago.

And if Cleveland or Houston go QB, Adrian Peterson might fall to us which might make more than a couple of teams pick up the phone.

Edit: By that way Jaj, I really doubt Branch falls out of the top 10. The guy is a monster and quick for his size.

NO NO NO. We need offense. Drafting defense 1 & 2 doesn't address our worst needs.

Houston in the 2nd would be quite a steal. Unlike most others I could live with it although I don't like the 3rd rounder. Wouldn't be my ideal draft, but it could be much worse.

Ryan Kalil and Johnnie Lee Higgins are available in the 2nd and we pass on them?
There is absolutely no way Kyle Young is drafted in the 2nd. He's big but he's slower than black strap molasis in winter.

Would have prefered Brandon Siler or Kareem Brown here but wouldn't complain about Marten.

Houston would be an absolute steal in the 2nd and would be a much better pick than Kalil or Higgins. Higgins would be a reach in the 2nd IMO. With Rice most likely still available and possibly Bowe.

I don't hate the 1st and 2nd round picks (though I wonder if we really would pass on Brady Quinn if he feel to us). I just wonder about the 3rd pick. Especially because you don't have Drew Stanton even getting drafted in the first 3 rounds. If we pass on Quinn in the 1st, and Stanton is somehow still there in the 3rd, we have to grab him. This is just my opinion of course.

I dont like this mock draft at all...passing on Quinn at 9 would be crazy, and we need offense early in the draft.

I don't think Houston will be there in the 2nd. If NE loses Samual in FA, he could very well end up there.

Kalil is just as good of a pick, however Higgins isn't in the 2nd.

DT, C, WR is not a bad approach with QB in the 4th.

I would take Meriweather over houston because some scouts feel he can play CB and S in the NFL which will be useful when we decide what to do with Allen. Whichever position he shadows to then Meriweather pulls the other.

But, I think Kalil is worthy of the pick as well as Houston. He is a nice player and a good possible center that fits the system we run. Now Higgins is not a 2nd round talent and I would be weary of him in the 3rd even perhaps.

Houston I do like though. Anthony Spencer would be a better pick in the second, he is a prototype 3-4 OLB prospect that would be a great otherside to JT. Reminds me alot of the kid that went to Dallas last year in the 1st round (carpenter).

I like the idea of securing the lines personally and building outwards. Now the question for branch is can be play the 5 technique (DE position in the 3-4 system). He seems more of a 4-3 type player like Henderson. I dont see him as a 3-4 NT.

pretty well thought out. i like the first rounder...

I disagree, Hall, Levi Brown, and Okoye drop down that far? :rolleyes2 doubt it. And Buffalo will not draft a CB if they resign Clements.
