1st-L. Landry, S Too good to pass up, he's a monster-he may not be there
2nd-J. Staley, OT getting a lot of good press lately-very athletic
2nd-D. Stanton, QB-Starting QB in 2 years
3rd-Chris Houston-Tough SEC CB, played against great competition

I know this is all BS, but I'm bored this morning. Landry in the 1st is a case of taking the best player available. The rest of draft is mainly based on needs (OT, QB). The Fins do need a speedy receiver, but you can't get everything.
 
Wow!! Fox and Espn and every other mock I have seen have Houston going in the 1st round as high as the 16th pick, better make an adjustment somewhere.

I agree that having him would be the icing on the cake for the defense but it will cost us dearly to get another 1st round pick to get him. Like.......Chambers and this, that, and the other.

Is he that good? maybe they get him in early 2nd round.

Landry-good pick
Staley-I do not believe he'll be available in rd 2
Stanton-he's #3 on the list behind Russell and Quinn, it's very possible a team that passes on one of them grabs him early in rd 2
Houston-all indications have him going as high as late 1st rd

1st I like Laundry.
2nd Houston= 1st rounder, Stanton= 2nd rounder

That's an awesome draft! Getting 4 first round picks in the first three rounds! Nice job! While we're at it, why don't we take Calvin Johnson in the fourth?

I dont think so, but we probably would have to take him with the first second rounder.

If we could pick up both Landry, and Staley, I would be a very happy phin-fan.
Back it up with Satele (Center out of Hawaii) I think we would have a very very nice draft.

You never know, could be like a Losman, Jason Campbell, Patrik Ramsey were he sneaks into the 1st round.
 
we have one shot with your mock landry maybe available at#9 staley i think goes #28 stanton i think will be gone #34 and houston will go as high as #10 no later than #25 but i would love this draft
 
I kept your positions but I mixed it around and took out one defensive back because we only need one.

Try this as something half realistic.

1- Landry
2- Ben Grubbs
2- Aaron Sears
3- Trent Edwards

I would rather go this route too....Stanton in the 2nd would not be a smart pick. Landry is a definite steal if he is there at #9. Grubbs is the best Guard out there in a kind of weak draft for Guards. I don't know that much about Sears other than he is an O-lineman for the Vols. Trent Edwards is a very solid QB and just as good if not better than Stanton....injuries are the only reason he dropped down. My only real issue with Edwards is he holds onto the ball too long at times and then gets nailed. But he looked pretty good at Stanford until he got hurt.
