1- Capers - Similar style to Saban and experienced in rebuilding- logical choice
2- Al Saunders - Wayne wants offense that he hasnt had since Shula
3- Kirk Ferentz - Simply the best college coach out there with similar style to Saban.
Wild Card - Mike Martz - Offense offense offense - Wayne wants offense.

Nobody else has resumes like these three. If Im Wayne, I want a no nonsence proven coach and no flavor of the months. These guys would be rock solid at worst.

nope

If cowher isnt coaching the Steelers, he's not coaching next year.

I don't want Capers, he did a horrible job rebuilding the Texans. He's a great coodinator, but nothing more in my opinion. He would not be a very good long term answer....

My personal choice would be someone like Cameron / Rivera / Petrino / or possible like you stated Ferentz. I want someone fresh, and someone who isn't afraid to start rebuilding the foundation of this franchise. If we hire from within, or someone like Bates{past history}, we'll only be rehashing and following our losing history / same mentality in my opinion. We need a new face to lead this franchise in my opinion.....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

My short list

1. Steve Marriucci
2. Jim Mora jr.
3. Dennis Green

I like all three of these guys. All three were fired/dismissed as scapegoats in my opinion.

how about norm chow or cam camron

1. Capers has failed miserably as HC twice, but you think "third times a charm", huh?
2. Saunders has done wonders in Washington with his 700 page play book ...
3. I would think that Wayne has had his fill of college coaches learning the NFL ropes, but maybe he's slow learner, so bring on Ferentz.
4. Martz deserves another shot all right ... only Miami doesn't have the QBs or the division to pretend to be the "greatest show on turf".

Just for my edification, what was so great about Saban's "style" that merits hiring a new coach who does the same? Was it Saban's scintallating 15-17 record or his playoff successes? Maybe it was his personnel moves?

I always thought D.Green was a great coach but he had all the young talent in the world, on both sides of the ball, in Arizona and didn't do anything with it...

Mora was killed because he couldn't get Michael Vick to play well.
Green had the Cardinals turned around and he knows Culpepper.
Marriucci got the 49ers to the playoffs every year but couldn't win the championship and clashed with Terrel Owens, go figure.

All three are positive guys too, who have earned respect in the NFL.

Gettin' angry just thinking about Saban's hollow "character speeches" and what Taylor and Thomas must be thinking right now.

I share your feelings exactly.

Brian Schottenheimer-young, did great job with average talent on the jets offense, been around coaching since birth.

Yup, Norm Chow is my guy. sean salsbury just ran down the list of Qbs he's worked with: Steve Young, Carson palmer, philip rivers, matt Leinart, even Jim Mcmahon.
That's a nice class.
I am also encouraged by some the pro coaching minds he's worked with:
Mike Holmgren, Andy Reid, Brian Billick, and I'll even throw in jeff fisher, who was 1 yrd away from a SB championship too.
