Quick observation from watching the Bucs game, we left 3 TD's on the field in the first half. Chambers could have made the play on one of them, although the pass from Gus made it a tough catch, Gilmore was wide open on a deep route, but was overthrown, and Boston was wide, wide, wide open on a deep route, but was way overthrown. Encouraging because I don't think our WR's are going to have much trouble getting open in 2005. Discouraging becuase if the QB can't get them the ball waht's the point?????

For the record I'm not saying AJ Feeley would have made those plays. God knows he probably would have dumped the ball off to the back on all 3 of them. I'm saying the QB play must be consistant enough to take easy TD's. Chambers was open on his but it was kind of a tough play. Gilmores play should have been made and Boston's was just a gimme. We have to make those plays.

the fact is the opportunity was there, we just need to execute. i have faith saban will iron out some of these wrinkles by the 11th. im encouraged by it

No excuses on the pass to Chambers, that's his ball to catch. Chambers has made MUCH tougher catches than that. The others, you're probably right.

I'm thinking that it is evidence that the very last thing we need is another QB switch. If we're banging on the door of getting those kinds of plays to happen with consistency, we need a QB getting timing down with the receivers, not more uncertainty over who is playing. One reason AJ's completion percentage is higher than Gus is because he doesn't take those deep shots like Gus does. Repetition is the mother of success.

gus is the new mad bomber, thats the thing i like most about him, hes gonna give that deep read in his progression a long look, if he plays, teams wont be able to stack 8 and 9 in the box against us like last year
