Tannehill had two sure tds dropped and one called back due to penalty... also this victory goes to show what RT can do if he is not dodging bullets every play

Let's not forget that Pittsburgh doesn't score their first touchdown if not for penalties. Cut down on the mistakes and we flat out crush the Steelers. Two missed field goals didn't help either. Imagine that though, a QB who plays way better when he has time to throw!

Despite this being a great collective effort today, there are still things we can take from in order to improve. We did leave a lot of points on the board. The red zone offensive needs work, stupid penalties cost us in key moments again and special teams work needs to be cleaned up. That's a great sign to comfortably beat a team of the Steelers quality despite these things.

Tannehill played a near perfect game today. As was said in this thread, even the points left on the field were good throws.

I by no means believe Tannehill is a top tier QB, but this reluctance to give him much if any credit when he plays well is beyond me. When he plays poorly, the rest of the team playing poorly doesn't cut it as an excuse for the naysayers so why should the team playing well be a valid excuse to dismiss him?? Can't have it both ways.

The team played well, albeit not perfectly, and won. And beat a notable opponent. Case closed.

Every team in every game can claim they should have scored more points.

This thread is just an argument with reality and whoever claims the score "should" be different loses that argument every single time.

Disagree. When folks want Tannehill gone because he doesn't win enough, and we see clear as day that Stills drops a TD at Seattle, Sims and Parker drop one today, I think even Landry had one earlier in the year.

It's a big deal to bemoan a QB and want him gone while not holding his teammates accountable for the mistakes they make too.

I do feel like the game wasn't ever really close. The fact that we beat them by two scores and it still feels like the score didn't reflect how badly we beat them, I don't know, maybe our expectations are ridiculous.

We are dolpin fans.. when we kneel the ball
Im hoping it doesnt go for 6 the other way. Its always close

I think we need better play calls and execution in the red zone. I'd like to see more PA, read options, and bootlegs in the red zone. There were times if Tannehill keeps it they score. They would force a run up the middle when the Steelers were clearly clogging the middle. The outside was open.

Sorry, but I don't agree. Are there games where teams had balls dropped, and should have scored more? Yes, but it it does not happen to every team, and it does not happen every week...can the Steelers today claim they should have cored more points?

It does seem to happen to the Dolphins/Tannehill more then average, and me times then not, at very important moments.

Also...the throw to Gray, and maybe Landry's were close to being touchdowns.

The arguments going to be Tannehill doesn't step up when the team struggles to pull them out of adversity. It can't always be perfect, which makes Tannehill serviceable, not elite.

So amazed that we were able to be more physical than the Steelers today. We manhandeled them on both sides of the ball, could not have predicted that from the first 5 games this team played. Really interested to see if the same team shows up against Buffalo next week.
