Since everyone is an official NFL Scout here, lets talk about who hasn't been a bust or maybe even a diamond in the rough. Heres my top three minus Jake Long.

I would have to say Donald Thomas is #1. He has been the steal of this draft class. The man is a monster and can move on his feet. I feel he will also have the most impact this year because of the Time he will spend on the field.

At #2 would have to go with Devon Bess. The kid is a gamer and you never read anything bad about him. He has been moved to the third reciever and I feel he will become Penny Pastas favorote target. He catches everything...

With my #3 and final pick I would have to go with Henne. The kid looks legit on the field and most important he has the swagger of a seasoned vet.

Merling and Langford may move onto this list if they can get some pressure this weekend. Maybe Even a sack or forced fumble would be great.

Kudos to the front office for this outstanding draft class.:hi5:

Honestly I thought that only Henne was the stand out pick besides Long of course.

Henne #1
Merling #2
Bess #3

My top three rookies are:
Thomas - six round pick starting RG--great story
Carpenter - unseating a seasoned vet coming of his best season (plus the guy can kick off the infield dirt!!)
Bess - the one guy that can make us forget about Welker IMO

As as aside, Merling is absolute beast on Madden.

#1 Thomas -I love this Kid, Still doesnt even have 5 years of football under his belt, I am so excited about what he has shown and the fact that he still will or should get better.

#2 Merling-What can you say, he starting to bring it on, we will see if it can continue or if he hits the Rookie Wall

#3 Henne- So Far so good, but lets not jinx him just yet, (Loving) how much he reminds me of Rothlisberger or however u spell it.

Honorable Mention
Bess- Wouldnt call him a diamond just yet, but definately getting close.
Carpenter-Boy I hope he is the real deal if not we are in trouble.
Langford-Definately has shown moments of potential.

You have to have Thomas #1.
I'd say Langford #2 considering he came from a small school and will either start at end or be the 1st rotation guy.
Then it's a close call on Carpenter or Bess. I'd give it to Carpenter because as an undrafted rook to beat ou a vet who had a very good year last year is a surprise but they are only kickers. Bess as an undrafted guy who is a lock to get playing time let alone make the team is a great story.

Thomas
Langford
Bess

1. Donald Thomas-Huge Steal

2. Davone bess- Another huge steal

3. Dan Carpenter-Comes in and unseats a veteran who just had one of his best seasons.

why so much love for merling over langford??? if you're just going off the tampa tape langford blew merling away.

who is this thomas guy & why is he soo great? sorry i dont really know much about him
Rookie Offensive gaurd selected in the 6th round, I beleive he only played 2 years of college. One day he was playing basketball at a park and someone told him to come try out for their college, he tried out, made the team, and now he is here.

I beleive it was the 1st week of TC when they tested him out on the first team. Noone has been able to unseat him as of yet.

Here is a nice article:

I can't speak for others, but I'm happy that BOTH are on this team and performing quite well so far.

For the first time in years, I would have a tough time only picking three.
