One neat statistic is that all 3 wins have come with lousy passing.

In passing yards:
Chicago - 137 Yards
Tennessee - 168 Yards
KC - 201 Yards

These 3 games have been the lowest passing yards we've had all season. And they are all wins. Any thoughts?

yes, get the ball out of the QB's hands. When we lost, we were playing catch up at the end of the games. Joey through for a lot of yards and gained a bunch of yards. In the process, he threw the ball to the other team alot. We had some nice drives, then turnovers. We need to run the ball to win! We also need to get a lead and keep it.

Time management. Our defense has been on the field a lot less since we're not going 3 and out. They're able to make plays in the 4th.

I'm too lazy to look up the numbers right now, but I'd be willing to bet those are the 3 best rushing games we've had.

not playing catchup like all the games with alot of yards.
gaurantee we ran the ball more in those wins.
althought that tennesee game seems so distant now..:goof:

3 out of 4... The Jets game being the only exception. That was a winnable game.

Ronnie Brown:
Game 1: 30
Game 2: 70
Game 3: 90
Game 4: 49
Game 5: 39
Game 6: 127 (Jets) 17-20 Loss
Game 7: 59
Game 8: 157
Game 9: 89

**********
Here is another crazy statistic... before inserting Damion MacIntosh at Left Tackle in Game 6... Ronnie averaged 55.6 Yards/Game (some people were calling him a bust). Since then, he is averaging 108 Yards/Game.

we won all three with defense
Yes that is true. But if you go back to the Chicago game the passing yards were not needed because the run was 157 with ronnie and there was not much field to pass in with the defence giving us the ball so close to teh goal line.

3 wins

gentlemen----chicago was turnovers--6------nobody wins with 6 turnovers. and it was destiny. miami also found something----heart. it's that simple. everybody on this site knows this team is better than 3 and 6. and with the jets and buffalo having tough games this week we could move past buffalo and get 1 game from the jets. the offense is looking better and timing is getting better. personel are getting better adjusted. i believe we have minn. and detroit the next two games and Miami has tasted success. they now know they can. you know the old saying --let sleeping dogs lie--the class of 72' called the dogs out and they responded. jason taylor is MAD and he is playing like a man on a mission. the rest of the team is following suit.sit back and enjoy the team we should have seen all year. i don't care how they do it. the next two week will tell us where we will be at the end of the season.

The D carried us in all those games. 2 of those were against pretty good defenses though and one not so good defense. And a big help for the D is time management. A good portion of it was Joey not getting sacked early on and often to set up long downs where we can't use our running game.
