3000 tickets unsold for MNF opener

:bobdole: I should've expected this by now.

I spent $6k per year on 4 premium seats for a whole decade...

I've had it.

Although I can still afford it, I rather not waste money on a bad product.

So to take on the national media, I should spend my money...LOL.

Who cares about the national media?

You know what gets respect...WINNING.

You know what doesn't get respect...our idiot owner making a fool of himself while chasing Harbough WHILE still employing a head coach...

Once people realize that its okay to watch the game from home, they aren't coming back...

With the advent of HD and the RedZone channel, why the hell would you leave the house on Sunday?

The NFL is making you want to stay in your own home instead of going to a game...

:bobdole: I give up.

... Just don't be suprised when the apathy eventually forces the team to move.

I will laugh my *** off if the home opener on MNF is blacked out.. Hows that for a message Ross!?!?

Does this mean that his mind-numbingly idiotic, marketing ploy of selling tiny shares to celebrities is not working?

How can that be?

Did you see the interview he did where he says he 'just wants to bring a winner to Miami' and he didn't think it would be this hard?

Everytime he opens his mouth he insults every professional who works in anyway with the NFL in any capacity.

He should just sell the team now before he completely ruins the Dolphins. If I was Parcells I would have left even sooner. Who would want to work for that guy?

Come on guys, this game needs to be sold out, and I am not talking by Patriots fans. We need that game full and full of Dolphins fans. Embarrassing that the fan base can not sell out a prime time game on opening weekend.

Nubular the fanbase is TIRED of crappy home games by the Dolphins. They are showing quite clearly they are fed up with the crap that the Dolphins have thrown at them for 10 years now. Don't berate the fans Nub, they have filled that stadium for years with little to no reward. Its up the Dolphins to make them want to go, not the other way around.

Hasnt this been an on-going problem?

I agree it is a bad bad situation......, but I know they are having an impossible time selling Cowgirl tickets here in Dallas as well.

No, the Dolphins last blackout was 10 years ago. The fans here actually have been incredibly patient.

It is embarrassing. What do you people do down there? Here in Boston, a non-sold out Pats game is like the Lochness Monster. Same w/NY.

Listen, I remember watching the Dolphins many times in old Foxboro stadium, when the Pasties sucked, and there was only 25-30,000 in the stands, so get out of here with that crap.

Another thread about how bad our fans are started by someone who lives outside of Florida. Go figure.

:bobdole: I give up.

And if they move, they move. It would suck but life goes on. I'm done with spending my dollars with the Dolphins until they prove worthy of it. It's been 11 years of bad to mediocre football. Enough.

This is a thread about someone not going to the game complaining about other people not going to the game...

I've been a Dolphins fan for as long as I can remember. There's a reason why teams are affiliated with cities. It's an extension of community. It seems those who don't live in the area experience being a fan in a vacuum. I'm not happy with the way the team is run. People around me aren't happy with it. This is not an economy where you throw money at something you don't believe in. It's a fan's obligation to express disappointment if it really matters to them.

I personally dont understand why people expect a team that has 4 out of 5 losing seasons to sell out every damn game. Esp with the price of tickets , concessions and parking. Only in the NFL do people expect an underperforming product to have full fan support.
